ilovegrannys Posted August 10, 2007 Report Posted August 10, 2007 Just as an idea, who has the oldest car or the lastest. I will start the ball rolling.... MK2 GRANADA 'C' REG. REGISTERED DECEMBER 1984. Probably one of the last.
Copey Posted August 11, 2007 Report Posted August 11, 2007 mk3 capper 86, but i think Tiz has an 87 so his is newer
mk14dr Posted August 11, 2007 Report Posted August 11, 2007 Mk1 escort 'n' plate, registered march '74. a pretty late mk1 i suppose
GT_Jim Posted August 11, 2007 Report Posted August 11, 2007 25th march 1966 so its a mid point in the airflows if im correct but a late ish mk1
fordtina3 Posted August 11, 2007 Report Posted August 11, 2007 mk3 2 door cortina custom may 1973 L reg mk3 4 door cortina 2ltr gt june 1972 K reg mk2 glsi granada (sport) july 1983 X reg
Miller Posted August 11, 2007 Report Posted August 11, 2007 My Mk2 Estate was made in 1980 and registered on a W which is pretty late, although there are some X reg ones floating about. Someone on the Retro Rides Forum has an A reg Cortina Mk5 and I read somewhere that some of them hung around on forecourts for a while after the Sierra was launched and the last one wasn't registered until 1987! So keep an eye out for an E reg Cortina! Not being pedantic or anything (yeah right) wouldn't C reg make it December 1985? Thats pretty late considering the Mk3 Was launched in May that year.
meXEco Posted August 11, 2007 Report Posted August 11, 2007 Jan '68 mk1 escy-pretty early though i know theres earlier ones about. Aug '68 mk1 escy also.
Chris! Posted August 11, 2007 Report Posted August 11, 2007 I have the last mk1 cortina i think 5th January 1967
ann_capri Posted August 11, 2007 Report Posted August 11, 2007 mines 1976 mk1 granada lee_capri mk3 capri 1984 mk1 capri 1973 prefect 1958

Nettles Posted August 11, 2007 Report Posted August 11, 2007 Checked this out once before. Mine's a 1953 Anglia but I know there's a 1922 model T on OSF, that's go to be the oldest OSF. http://www.oldskoolford.co.uk/phpBB2/vi ... ght=oldest
ilovegrannys Posted August 11, 2007 Author Report Posted August 11, 2007 Just heard a MK2 Granny on a 'D' plate. I just think it was registered late. All the same, thats late. It is like the Brookalnds Capri with a 'E' plate. It just looks strange but satisfying to clamp eyes on
escortmad79 Posted August 11, 2007 Report Posted August 11, 2007 1969 Escy Estate, must be one of the oldest Escy sportwagons on OSF
Jimbob-Squarepants © Posted August 11, 2007 Report Posted August 11, 2007 The Anglia is a 1960 car, so only a year into production... The Capri on the other hand is an April 1983 2.8i, so it is literally one of the very first 5 speeders with Shark Grey Recaro's. (5 speed 2.8i's were released April 1983)
escortmad79 Posted August 11, 2007 Report Posted August 11, 2007 Jan 73 Sports-wagon Mine was already at leat 3 & a half years old then!!
sparkycapri Posted August 11, 2007 Report Posted August 11, 2007 My oldest is my 1964 mk1 2 door preairflow tina never had seat belts fitted to it there arn't even any mounts for them, my newest is my 1985 mk2 28i ghia X granny estate, unless you count my V6 24V cossy granny on an L watever year that is? but that is just a doner car for the above. i think i have got a car for just about every year letter to B except D,G&P
Jarrodm Posted August 12, 2007 Report Posted August 12, 2007 Me and jimbob are the oldies then ! 1960 100e 81 mk1 fiesta Jarrod
Jimbob-Squarepants © Posted August 12, 2007 Report Posted August 12, 2007 I think what Mr. Granny's means is, how new or old is your OSF to it's model... this is how I understand it... he has a Creg Mk2 Granny, so that is one of the very last Mk2's because the Mk3 was out on a C reg.
