You could get a cheap PC/laptop and run a webcam through it also. Even signs like "you are on CCTV" and a cheap £30 fake CCTV camera would help things out.

 

At the end of the day you are trying to make it harder for them to take the car. Some people don't care and will take it anyway but if there is one around the corner that they can joy ride with no CCTV/DOG/fook off lock. They will take that instead.

Nice shepperd Jeb . You can't beat a guard dog fellas especially a german shepperd because they are so territorial . They can hear a pin drop from the end of the garden , can smell the scent of a stranger from 100 feet , eyes like a snipper , jump 8 foot fences , hit 40 mph in 10 feet and will guard your home/family with a vengence They are inteligent and make great pets , you will love yours more than the Mrs .

my uncle has an old air raid siren that can be heard from several miles away. Get one and make it so that a tripwire closes the garage door, locks them in then sets off the siren. Thus causing the ears of said thieving barstools to bleed also razor wire is good, not sure if it's illegal tho
