You said earlier that i should watch the cars at the Pod.. i will if you sit next to me and wake me up every 5 mins.. i'm sorry.. but as motorsport goes .. it just sends me to sleep... bit like the Hypnotists watch swinging in front of me ..

Car goes up track .

eyes back to the start.

At the circuit in clubbman racing ..every lap is different with different cars doing battle .... but then thats just my opinion ..

But then you love the circuits really ... I mean there was what 10 rounds of the OSFDC and you went to watch 5 say ..thats 50% ..

There was one RetroFord Trackday and you went .. thats 100%

:lol::lol:

I think the appeal of Drag Racing - and I like the circuit too - is that it is a massive assault on 3 of the senses (sight, hearing and smell) in one big hit. Bit like crack really and not lasting that long. But also you're much closer to the cars, you know all of the cars, you've had a hand in some of the cars, you can have a go yourself with limited experience and limited expense and a good way into some form of motor sport that might otherwise be out of your league.

The assualt on the senses isn't as profound with circuit for me even though as much as I admire the more skill required and little battles emerging :wink:

Lyden Hill is the best circuit with the most corners on it i've been told . :thumbsup:

[quote="Mk 1 MarkGet anyone with a 380 bhp turbo`d YB car

And i know of a mk1 escort that is N/A and will beat it...no matter who is driving!!! on what ever track they like

So i will say fastest road/trackday MK1 escort N/A is Mad Micks with him driving..

And he`s up for any challange.........

So let the games begin

Mark, that is a very brave statement. I know of some quick turbo escorts and there drivers are very experience. But then again i would take up the challenge

I think that mk1Mark was refering to any road legal Turbo oldskoolford cars v Micks road legal atmo cossie mk1 escort . I might be wrong through and he could be including the race track only circuit car posse in his statement :thumbsup:

Fair comment without watching a 10 second car or less it's not exactly a spectators sport, but even the F1 boys say they enjoy the qualifiying as it is a much more "intense" thrill. One chance to get it all right.

F1 is the pinnacle of round and round :mrgreen: and that's not brilliant to watch.

I know some rally boys that would dismiss circuit racing as "hypnotic" as on a rally you don't see the same bit of track twice.

Everyone to their own, I hate drag racing

Don't count on it mate . if you've ever seen the amount of turbos that blow up on trackdays , thrashes , santa pod meets etc then if i were RetroAL i'd be worried !!!!!!!! :shock::shock::shock:

I have had a chat with Mick and he said this was about road cars and if Andy wants to drive Al YB turbo`d car,

Then let the games begin,He is more than up for it,

And as for race cars there are loads of fast cars and even faster drivers,

But Micks not on line but well stay with road cars to settle this

Im/he is very confident so just name a track and a time and well be there :thumbsup:

But what i was saying and i stick by is Micks Mk1 escort N/A road car taxed and Mot`d

Will take one hell of a mk1 road car and driver to beat it!!
