To answer the question about the 27 pages = no  . As for the low 13's on 175's with no gas , no slicks , no turbos and no bits missing = no sweat mate :ykt::ykt::ykt: . Piece of piss

:lol: Blimey, what have i done!!???

Gaz, you crack me up. you say stop comparing race cars to yours, but it is you who relates any other car to yours!!!

Anyway, for me, i think Kev's RS2000 is a fooking animal and would love that kind of power. Even if i cant use it cos of lack of grip. just cos it sounds like fun!

As for circuit cars, Adrian Halls mk2 is my fav. Awesome looking, awesome engine, just an amazing car!. It has been the inspiration of loads of (bad) copies and is a bench mark OSF race car.

As for a fast road car.....well to be honest, personally, i really loved my old black beastie and to have put my N/C cossie in it would have been a good laff!!:sad:

Absolutely mate, lovely cars, but I hope this isn't some kind of "And to conclude" statement as we're only up to 28 pages

Have you got your answer though??

well if certain people stop comparing mine to featherweight trailer toys then i won't have to put them straight then will i ? . So stick all the weight back in them if you want to compare them to mine or fooooooooook off :ykt::thumbsup:
Read this then wessie and co and when /if you can understand it (which i doubt) then let me know  . I've got no problem with featherweight circuit trailer queens so JUST STOP COMPARING THEM TO MINE all the fooooooking time then

Gaz no ones comparing your car ... we cant compare with " + " this and " + " can we...

what we can do is stick with the facts ..

Craigs car is 1160 Kg ..which is heavier than your car

Peter M's car is heavier than your car

As for the perspex windows ..re read my post..they had to run glass .. the rules changed ...

Like i said ... we cant compare your car .. it hasnt seen a dragstrip or a circuit since you fitted the 250+ bhp engine in ...

You asked for times ... i gave you times .. then its " they dont count ..those featherweight race cars (that weigh more than yours ) dont count "

Well Gaz as YOUR car has to be the benchmark ... best you put it up the strip and round a track* ...

The STIG is dead ... all hail the MIGHTY GAZ ...

Some say he chews on duratecs

some say he shits zetecs

a lot say he aint done diddly

but we all know we love him really ...

:lol::lol:

* if you say your car is a comfy road car and not a trackcar to that ... stop slating peoples cars that have gone round a track ..

They are perspex or polycarb windows in Craigs car, but like i have said before, i put them in my car when it was pinto'd along with a fibreglass bootlid and saved around 30 kilo's, it made no differance to the quarter mile time what soever, even the terminal was the same.

Gone back to glass now, so that i can see out of the side windows properly without looking at all those swirl and scratch marks

Im even thinking of putting bonnet hinges back on mine so i can have a bonnet that can stay up without having to take it off all the time.

You just dont need an escort that light really, they start to look and feel horrible when you go too far i think.

Look at Terrys car, yeah its got no carpet or door panels, but what do they weigh? fook all. He has metal bootlid and metal bonnet and does a 10 dead @ 146mph,enough said

Just in case im invisable,i quoted it and posted it again :lol::lol:

Actually, Toby you just reminded me about your tina. That takes the no.1 spot for a road beast!

and no, it isnt a to conclude post but it has got a little silly!!!!

As far as answers go, errrr.....no i havent really cos i am now confused!!!

Nothing is as fast as Gaz's "comfy Road car" so i guess we may as well pack up and go home!!!

At the end of the day who really gives a f*ck anyway?

I built my car to be quick. I knew it wouldn't be the quickest because I don't have that kind of 'open-ended' budget, but I'm happy with it. It turns heads, it's quick enough, and it pi**es off the purists (even though it's all Ford)!

I feel that, as long as I'm happy with my own wheels I really don't care what anybody else thinks or says.

I'd love to do a Track Day or an Autotest. Not to show how quick it is (because it wouldn't be in either area) but just to show myself what it could do.

There are some stonking cars on this forum.

I'd give my n*ts for a mint Mk1 Mex, I love RS2's and especially X-packs, I've had great fun in Granadas Capris and Cortinas, but I've never cared if they were the 'fastest outright' cars.

If you love it and it's fun, sod how quick it is!

And now for the next 28 pages............ :D
