ZetecVan 2.0 Posted March 26, 2008 Report Posted March 26, 2008 I'm great, me. No points and only one bump, which was low speed when the brakes failed in my wifes old Mini...

Cookie Posted March 26, 2008 Report Posted March 26, 2008 In all modesty I would say I'm pretty good, in just under 11 years of driving I have never had a bump or points and done some pretty impressive manoveres to get out of the sh*t and to get into it over the years And with the things we all used to get up to on the roads in my youngers days it must be a whole load of better luck than good judgement I'v certainly mellowed out in my old age though thats for sure, i have this nasty habbit of thinking 'what if?' before I do stupid stuff now puts a right downer on life
FlashCadillac Posted March 26, 2008 Report Posted March 26, 2008 Id say when i am driving the mondeo im a pretty good driver... and im fairly safe. the three points i picked up early in the year has slowed me down a lot when im driving the capri im a bit of a twat with the sideways thing
Nettles Posted March 27, 2008 Report Posted March 27, 2008 I’m a driving God……………I just wish I had a car worthy of my greatness!
5hane Posted March 27, 2008 Report Posted March 27, 2008 well i drove my dadsbmz after he had put it into the wallat arean essex, i stalled it 3 times befor finally leaving the pits , and he wanted me to do a handbrake turn then the 2 time i drove in my dads 4 door i accidently drove it up a gravel hill
Burns Posted March 27, 2008 Report Posted March 27, 2008 i like to think that i'm a good driver, just have to keep my speed in check, better than i used to be (had 3 mini accidents within 2 years of my test) and i've been driving my car for 40 hours a week for my job and managed to keep away from points and crashes. i can park in tiny spaces too
young un Posted March 27, 2008 Report Posted March 27, 2008 im average for a 13 yr old lol - i've just spent time mastering clutch control at the end of aoutotest and on my uncles farm
Messenjah Posted March 27, 2008 Report Posted March 27, 2008 i think i coudl be a very good safe driver but i speed too much and sometimes when its not appropriate but hey im young ... ive only been driving a year and a half but ive got around 40k miles under my belt and the difference between me and some of my m8s is insane .... in the car with one guy and on the motorway he was only looking at the 3 cars around him and thus almost went into the back of the guy in front when traffic had stopped .... (just me or do most people look about 10/15 cars infront ? ) ive never crashed into anyone or anything apart from just nudging a keep left sign after leaving the rugby club in the wet with a rolling burnout had 2 ppl go int he back of me and one reverse into my door in a carpark ( i was parked) ive got three points but that was down to having my capri on the road for the first time and showing off to my m8s on the way to a rugby match .... but i did stall the other day aaaaannnnnd clipped the kerb this morning
4parajon Posted March 27, 2008 Report Posted March 27, 2008 The last bump I had was when I was 17 in my mk2 escort, and wrote it off and Ive been driving for nearly 20 years. Im down to 6 points left on my license, both SP30's coz I've got a heavy right foot.
antz Posted March 27, 2008 Report Posted March 27, 2008 ive been driving just over two years. I do quite a bit of miles and lots of motorway miles (prob 20k a year averaged over over two cars) no points only bumps ive had are little ones when reversing into stationary poles and things but that doesnt matter cos a 1ft long tow bar on the back of the volvo and i managed to knock a wall down at my girlfriends house when turning into her drive about 2 weeks after i bought the volvo the escort makes me a bit of a right foot demon which isnt good and i do like to play sideways but only when theres no1 else around. compared to my mates im a saint it makes me shiver when i see them doing handbrake turns, 1 wheel burnouts in fwd polos and shit. theres no point. its gay and stupid. (supposedly yorkshire drivers are the most impatient and drive the fastest on the roads in the whole of the uk ).....and north yorkshire has not one static speed camera in the whole county just gotta watch out for mobile ones though but you normally see them a mile off ....30mph meams 30mph though NOT 60!
sab6024 Posted March 27, 2008 Report Posted March 27, 2008 I can park, reverse and drive around corners But seem to be attracted to hitting VW Golf's. Smashed a mirror off one, drove down the side of one, got hit in the Capri by one and almost hit another one the other day but went up a hedge instead

caprinerd Posted March 28, 2008 Report Posted March 28, 2008 last prang was 4 years ago, not including bangers, i rammed a couple of kids on their peds, in temper and then found out it was the wrong ones
mk1super Posted March 28, 2008 Report Posted March 28, 2008 I kinda use the same lines i would on a bike But is that a bad thing?
Copey Posted March 30, 2008 Report Posted March 30, 2008 considerin av only been drivin a couple of years i would say am a pretty good driver, can reverse well most the time, obviously make the odd silly mistake now and then, came lucky a while back when i was backin into a farm opening and didnt notice this massive metal spike stickin out the wall, it made a horrible grinding noise, thankfully it only got the endcap av not been done for speeding and av not had a bump *knocks on wood*
