What insurance companies to most people use? I'm struggling to get a quote under £300 for a mk1 rs2000. Is this about right for a 32yr old with 9yrs no claims? The car has a few mods but nothing spectacular :sad:

Try footman james, mine isn't much more than that for two cars on one policy, both with unlimited mileage and high agreed values (all mods declared and the escort has plenty)

 

A lot depends on where you live though.

im 26 and pay £97 fully comp and drive any other vehicle, on a mk1 2ltr and loads of mods declared its a 2nd car. with RH Specialist insurance 01277 206911.

I use Performance Direct ..... Age 41, MK2 RS2000 with agreed value of £6k and limited mileage - £174.00 fully comp :thumbsup:

As a new customer last year, I paid £170 fully comp, agreed value of £14k with 3k mileage.

 

This year renewal letter wants £311 !!!!! They can whistle. :roll:

My insurance company told me to get Classic Insurance as it would cheaper until I told them I need Fully Comp, Business cover with 30000 miles a year :wink: So £300 it is then :thumbsup:

Whoa! I've been with them three years and my premium hasn't gone up a penny even though I've used their included breakdown recovery four times!
