Mr.Sumo Posted July 11, 2008 Report Posted July 11, 2008 question Been contemplating about putting the Wagon up for sale , ONLY because i would like to involve the family a bit more on the Shows / Meets etc . So , i"m thinking 4 door Mk1 / Mk2 Cortina.....the question is , what is a realistic price for the Wagon ? Honest opinions in the poll please , cheers
Miller Posted July 11, 2008 Report Posted July 11, 2008 Well, I sold this solid and basically standard (exept wheels and exhaust) 1300 mk2 earlier this year for £1750, so for yours I think your at least looking at + £2000 even on a bad day. The only thing is would a cortina really be more family freindly tho? Could you not take the cage out of the estate? They are such cool cars, I still miss mine
Mr.Sumo Posted July 11, 2008 Author Report Posted July 11, 2008 Anymore opinions..... cage would go with the car mate , there made to order
4 door escort Posted July 11, 2008 Report Posted July 11, 2008 holy crap, i remember seeing the orangy browny colour one and drooling over it on e-bay, that was sooo nice
mk2escortmad Posted July 11, 2008 Report Posted July 11, 2008 i think what miller mean is that if you take the cage out, put the rear seats back in and you can keep the wagon, imo i would do that mate, its a stunning car
hotrodholty Posted July 11, 2008 Report Posted July 11, 2008 i think what miller mean is that if you take the cage out, put the rear seats back in and you can keep the wagon, imo i would do that mate, its a stunning car seconded
5hane Posted July 11, 2008 Report Posted July 11, 2008 if you do sell it, and get a cortina you could do a 'savage' rep big v6 essex under the bonnet, then you could travel and do the drag strip but only downside would be the petrol maby a 2.8 for fuel econmy?
mk2_escort_chick Posted July 11, 2008 Report Posted July 11, 2008 Its a hard one to value. Have a look on the net to see how much they're going for and use that to help you value yours. Once you have a price in mind, see what other more "family friendly" osf's you can get for that amount
quickrack Posted July 11, 2008 Report Posted July 11, 2008 i think what miller mean is that if you take the cage out, put the rear seats back in and you can keep the wagon, imo i would do that mate, its a stunning car seconded 3rd ed ed ed
escamino Posted July 11, 2008 Report Posted July 11, 2008 If you have to sell then £2000+ the're still going up in price.
Slik 50 Posted July 11, 2008 Report Posted July 11, 2008 The old saying is its worth whatever some one is willing to pay for it. I would pay 2k
mossy Posted July 12, 2008 Report Posted July 12, 2008 put the rear seats back in and keep yup....but if i were looking to buy i'd hand over £2k+ for it
Rick Posted July 12, 2008 Report Posted July 12, 2008 keep it and make it family friendly/ stick a matress in the back...
corsair dean Posted July 12, 2008 Report Posted July 12, 2008 cage out seats back in keep and enjoy the wagon you will regret it if you get rid!
ratman Posted July 12, 2008 Report Posted July 12, 2008 love to think it would reach 2k + but keep it and rear seat it
JAY PS Posted July 12, 2008 Report Posted July 12, 2008 Ian they are only going to rise in value so i reckon between £1500-2k if you want to sell it then it gives you a few notes for a corty ! Good luck
Mr.Sumo Posted July 13, 2008 Author Report Posted July 13, 2008 OK you lot win Raer seat advert in PARTS WANTED
