Jimbob-Squarepants © Posted July 18, 2008 Report Posted July 18, 2008 Sorry to hear that Sarah. Dean had already PM'd me to say he had failed Get those brakes apart, it sounds like you have some seized wheel cylinders which isn't the end of the world. Oh and the lights are no biggie. Let me know if you need a hand
Stu_B Posted July 18, 2008 Report Posted July 18, 2008 Not too bad, mechanical is so much better than rust

Rick Posted July 18, 2008 Report Posted July 18, 2008 jeez dont you know a local mot tester. whoever did that sounds a bit thorough most blokes just appreciate seeing something different and go easy on you, providing its not a deathtrap
Chud Posted July 18, 2008 Report Posted July 18, 2008 Bleeding JOBSWORTH MOT TESTER!!!!!!! Never mind Sarah,it does'nt sound that drastic matey! Be good to rub it in the tester's face when you've put those minor faults right.
mk2_escort_chick Posted July 18, 2008 Author Report Posted July 18, 2008 jeez dont you know a local mot tester. It is my local tester Normally he's alrite, but the brakes failed on his machine thingy
prefectopop Posted July 18, 2008 Report Posted July 18, 2008 Bleeding JOBSWORTH MOT TESTER!!!!!!! Never mind Sarah,it does'nt sound that drastic matey! Be good to rub it in the tester's face when you've put those minor faults right. Better to have failed than be impaled on a 100E steering column when it don't stop! Re: lights on the front - check all the earth's, both my Pop and Prefect had a habit of getting damp in the connections meaning they didn't earth to the body properly. good clean up should sort it out. Good luck with getting it all sorted! You know where I am if you need the parts list!
over_head_cam Posted July 18, 2008 Report Posted July 18, 2008 That's bad news m8. But I would have expected you to at least check the lights before taking it in What are you like
flyingbanana Posted July 19, 2008 Report Posted July 19, 2008 That's bad news m8. But I would have expected you to at least check the lights before taking it in What are you like i was thinking the same thing...i always pre check everything before a mot, so if i do find a problem i can mention it at the mot before the test....so then he knows i know about it and he normally lets it pass......when i did my last one i had put a new gaitor on...by the time i got to the test it had split ....still passed tho
mk2_escort_chick Posted July 19, 2008 Author Report Posted July 19, 2008 That's bad news m8. But I would have expected you to at least check the lights before taking it in What are you like We did thats the thing-fooking sods law. Get in there and the headlight and indicator do a lil flash dance. Deans papa even rewired the front lights, should be an easy fix though.
