Could I ask that any further interest be listed under this thred as my inbox is full and I need to keep the emails to work on the route.

 

Myself and the missus will be visiting St Chritophers hospice this weekend to discuss sponsorship and points of contacts.

 

Most of all Id like to thank those who have volunteered as convoy reps, I will keep you informed as things progress.

OK Guys an update.....

 

A lovely lady from the Hospice has contacted me regarding the run.

 

This is the best bit....... she's a car nut and was nearly delivered at Wimbledon Stadium as her mother went into labour in the stands! Her father drove, Hot Rods and super Stox...... but not to the hospital before you ask.

 

She reads CF and Retro herself and is aware of what happens in the scene, it must be fate?

 

The Charity are impressed with the idea and have sent me all the bumpf relating to sponsorship. She will contact the local paper, provide balloons and start/finish banners, also magnetic signs for the convoy reps.

 

We will try to aim for October.

So what's the rough outline of the route?

 

How about the South East, South and South West Contingents convoying to meet somewhere in the middle, then one convoy taking over for the journey North?

Weve had a good response so far and I was hoping for a bit of a random zig zag up the country, if nothing else, just to get everyone involved.

 

I am sorting a route as we speak.

i`ll have a chat to the fenlands on the 24 at a meet we`re having and arrange a switch over to themfrom this end of norfolk but i still need a pick up point from suffolk east or westor even essex
