how longs your car took?

7 yrs and not done........... Mind u emphasis has changed and it's now a road/race hybrid............. i.e a foookin pain in the arse to drive in traffic.

5 years and £10k:

3 different engines, 2 different gearboxes, 3 different exhaust sytems, 2 different blowers, 3 different sets of carbs (plus 1 injection system), 2 different brake set-ups (and the third on the way), 2 methanol injection set-ups, 3 nitrous kits, a few pairs of rear tyres. Endless fun!

had mine just over a year and already had to replace the engine, if it wasnt for that it woulda been sprayed by now

had mine just over 2 mounths and there curtanly isnt any light at the end of this turnle but im not complaining

although with the extra money ive spent on the capper i think im keeping this.

 

but 2 years would be about right for me to be happy with it =)

well ive just started cutting some rust out of a 2.8i i got to do a cosworth conversion on, already its starting to look like beaksters project, the strut is rotten, inner wings rotten almost up to the bulkhead, its gona take longer than i 1st thought!!!!

One of my ecort's came off the road in 2001,and it's not going anywhere for quite a while longer

Off the road for all the major work last october. back on again 6 months later.

 

Still stuff I want to do, but its all things that I could do with a couple of days here and there.

i agree they are not ever really finished but i had no idea that it would take this long and every time i look at it i find some thing else i want to change but i am at the point where i just want to drive it

got mine in december 2006 but its not seen the road since 1992 hope it to be back on the road the end of this year beginin of next

9 years to get it on the road but in the 3 years its been on the road i have been changing it so i dont think they are ever finished

mines been 5 years so far work and cash flow slowed me down a lot plus i keep changing my mind how i want it to look
