spitbarnatt Posted August 3, 2008 Report Posted August 3, 2008 Absolutely gutted for the owner. Will definately be a re-shell, look at the c-pillar. Should be able to salvage running gear and interior though. Looks mint pre-accident, real shame that.

Rick Posted August 4, 2008 Report Posted August 4, 2008 Guess thats the price you pay if ya go on track feel sorry for the guy but thats the risk he chose to take
awesome Posted August 4, 2008 Report Posted August 4, 2008 I all most lost it on the way to Siverstone and i was going slow. The roundabouts were leathal at 8.30am a few miles south of Silverstone with all that rain and there must have been a lot of oil down as well.........
hotrodholty Posted August 4, 2008 Report Posted August 4, 2008 feel gutted for the fella , although thats the point about track days (in a wierd way), if you do lose control, you aint gonna hit anything or anyone, the tracks are designed to minimise risk in such events (if your gonna bin it, which sooner or later we all do. bin it on a track), if it had been on the public roads things could and would have been a lot worse, iv seen a lot worse crash's in rallying and they've seen the road again. i think so long as no one was seriously injured he's pretty lucky, but is probably still in tears as i would be myself
mrmoo Posted August 4, 2008 Report Posted August 4, 2008 feel for ya buddy hope somehow you can save it
Lukey48screamer Posted August 4, 2008 Report Posted August 4, 2008 Poor bugger, if that happened to mine I wud be emotionally and financially devastated - even looks like the roof has gone from the top of the rear screen... How could you face tellin the missus . . . . . .
sab6024 Posted August 4, 2008 Report Posted August 4, 2008 Felt sorry for the guy, one of the lads that came up with us said they saw it roll in front of them. Gutted!!!!
FredTransit Posted August 4, 2008 Report Posted August 4, 2008 That's not good, at least the bloke walked away. Not sure I could risk something I had put a lot of work into at risk on the track.
ZetecVan 2.0 Posted August 4, 2008 Report Posted August 4, 2008 Andy Pipes Mk1 rolled and it was a lot worse than that. And it got fixed. That will hit the road again without a doubt. (was that the wrong phrase)
