Was out in the Mk1 transit yesterday. Just coming back to the van behind two blokes, when one points to the van (1972) and says 'that's a lovely old motor' he them turned to his mate and said 'it's an anglia' single most common commercial vehicle in the 70s and 80s and he gets it wrong.

did he utter the immortal line....

i used to have one of those...

Argh I hate that!!!

There were lots of escorts made, but not that many! Everyone I ever speak to had one too, and always a Mex! I'm almost waiting for the line to crop up when listening to someone waffle on.

I was filling up the Capri one day when this guy started walking around and having a look at it. Then he says to me "it's nice, what is it". I said "it's a Ford Capri Mk3" to which he replied "yeh I had one of these". So why did you ask then?? :?:lol:
