i think you need to face your fear and go, just because there are gay people there does'nt mean your gettin bummed that night, just like if there are straight people at a party does'nt mean your gonna get laid. i dont see the problem, there not hurting anyone and if two people are happy together, let them be. however if watchin 2 fella's kissing makes you feel uncomfortable as it does me and no doubt 99% of straight men just look away.

you can bet your life it will be a whopper of a party, good food and music garanteed

big up the sherberts :lol::lol:

whats the big deal about gay weddings?

its the same as any other wedding (probably more interesting!)

if it was me id go along just out of curiousty to see how a same sex wedding takes place.

dont worry glyn they arent out to convert you or give you a big hug on the dance floor.

sounds like your a little uncomfortable with your sexual orientation :lol::queer:

Life's to short to worry about it, just go and enjoy the hospitality and freebies :ykt:

The 'gays' :lol: know how to let their hair down and enjoy a party a lot better than the 'straights' :lol:

Always used to be a bit of a queer hater, then you grow a bit older and realise life is to short and each to their own.

Met aand worked for a few uphill gardeners over the years now and must say they have all been good as gold and a right laugh with it, could never eat a whole one though :mrgreen::lol:

I have to agree that if you are homophobic, you may have something you need to sort out about your sexuality! BUT back to the wedding, if you are really uncomfortable don't go. Just decline politely and make sure nobody who knows the happy couple see you out in McDonnald's or whatever!

If you are homophobic and offended by gay people then just say you are unable to go - simple :thumbsup:

Exactly! :ykt::thumbsup:

I really do hate homophobic people! Why can't two people of the same sex get married and be happy?

They're not going to turn you or want your ass! :roll::roll::roll:

i think there's alot worse people to worry about in the world than those who choose to lick the wrong side of the stamp :? , i'm sure that no-one will think your gay just cos your going to a gay marriage and i'm also sure you will have a great time :thumbsup: however if you are still scared hold on to your missus like she was the last pint in the pub and molest her as much as you can before the dykes do :mrgreen: that ought to cover your as (so to speak :lol: )..

I stand on both sides of the fence on this issue. I would go to the "wedding" if my wife asked me too because it was important to her. However whilst I don't have any issues with homosexuals I do firmly believe that marriage is defined by the union of a man and a doris under god. Call it a civil partnership by all means but you'll never get me to accept that a same sex couple (of either gender) are married.

I'm also increasingly uncomfortable with the fact that homosexuality and lesbianism are increasingly being portrayed as normal when I don't believe they are. Are they acceptable? Yes of course, two consenting adults may do what ever they please and it's none of my business, nor would I shun any gay person or behave offensively towards them because of their sexuality. But is it normal? No I don't believe so and I don't want my offspring to be taught that it is as they progress through their lives.

Thats a pic of the two brides at a wedding I went to last year.

No probs and a cool wedding car too!!

I can't get upset about gay weddings and the like anymore, coz there are so many other things that foook me off!!!

I reckon you dont want to go because when the person says if anyone objects to this union your gonna get up and say that you fancy one of the brides....

if thats how you roll thats just how you roll.

good to hear you coming out of the closet!!

So what if your son or daughter turned out to be gay? But before they made it known, would you be happy to have them taught that they were abnormal ? It's an OPTION, and short of paedophilia, what is normal anyway?

In a word, yes I would be happy for them to be taught it was abnormal.
