JAY PS Posted November 21, 2008 Report Posted November 21, 2008 Think its time it outwit these crooks ,someone has inside knowledge ,this is someone amongst us im sure . You cannot steal these cars without knowing where they being kept and without knowing they are worth stealing . The Police should be able to see cctv from your area and find that cargo and trace it . Im sad to say your car with be already on its way to Ireland most likely . Its impossible to trace these cars without proper tracking devices being fitted I cannot understand why none of these valuable cars doesnt have one ! Im sad for your loss will pass details to other forums im involved with .

KJ 1320 Posted November 22, 2008 Report Posted November 22, 2008 Sorry to hear about your car Mark it's just getting ridiculous how many cars are being lifted in South London
morcheen Posted November 22, 2008 Report Posted November 22, 2008 can't believe it mark ! im going to call a few people in ireland to keep a look out.another possible place for this car is as a shell for a lotus cortina,as it's the rarer pre aeroflow shell.this could be ordered for someone with just a logbook might be worth going to all the various lotus car sites. we have to hope that all the car lovers on all forums will help with finding it. any unusual welding/plates or special bits on the shell to look out for mark ? pm or call me with anything you might think of.
Savvi Posted November 22, 2008 Report Posted November 22, 2008 Think its time it outwit these crooks ,someone has inside knowledge ,this is someone amongst us im sure . Its impossible to trace these cars without proper tracking devices being fitted I cannot understand why none of these valuable cars doesnt have one ! Well said Jay. Cobra are now doing life time subscription @ £365 again, which means you will be paying £399 reduced from £499, plus subs for the whole time you own the car, they will text you if it moves without the ignition on then once you confirm it's gone the Police are informed of it's location or last location if been disconnected, the unit also has it's own re chargeable battery fitted. I feel gutted for you Mark, im going to Ireland next week and will keep an eye out around here also, don't mean to kick you when your down by mentioning trackers etc, but the insurance companies insist on them being fitted on expensive cars because they work. Hope this warns others and helps them to keep their cars. Anyone interested in something being fitted i will still offer a discount, £375 plus subs for non contributors and £360 plus subs to contributors of the forum on the Cobra Trak Q system with European coverage. I can fit in Oxford myself if car brought to me or have engineers countrywide. Mods please feel free to move or delete if any offense is caused.
Baz. Posted November 22, 2008 Report Posted November 22, 2008 Mate ime gutted for ya, eyes and ears open
Mick The Cabbie Posted November 22, 2008 Report Posted November 22, 2008 Gutted for you mate. I know exactly how you must be feeling, I had my RS2000 stolen from the car park at the RS owners club nat day back in 1991ish. Although it was more my own detective work than the police's which helped recover the car. So hopefully, now the word has spread so widely of it's disappearance, there'll soon be some good news. I really hope it turnes up.
