I know the feeling mate, my first Old skool project was delayed by nearly two years by a bodyshop that kept claiming they'd "be ready to paint next week" they ended up doing a runner and my car ended up in the hands of the receivers, took ages to get it back!

Think you just need to start using some different suppliers mate...

I know people always bang on about their 'favourite' people.. I know I do.. but I only recommend people I have used or know the quality of their work and a just like feed back on e-bay a few good recommendations can go a long way.

He's done it. Got the car back tonite. He's done a superb job. Apparently some cock had bodged a mk1 tina sill onto my mk2 and fillered it up to look ok which is why it took longer. He gave me a carrier bag of crap he cut out. Will definately be going back for more welding from him. Massive apologies from me to him......i'm just soooo impatient  I'll stick some pics up at the weekend :D

I know how you feel, last winter my Mexico was in trouble, I broke a half shaft and thought I had fooked the diff......... had loadsa issues trying to get it sorted and then it failed the mot on poor brakes.......and if it wasn't for Russ Pemberton {neighbour and AVO top man} and Smudger selling me some spares I may well have sold it.......

Bought 5 pairs of half shafts from various breakers and not one set was straight, then soemone aid that you could fit RS MK2 shafts... so I bought some really good ones, put new bearings on and guess what.... they didnt fit... sold them last year to Driver......

I bought some MK2 shafts {new old stock} and got them machined down the same as MK1 shafts... all sorted now....

PS... the rear brake issue was due to the previous muppet owner fitting a wilwood bias valve under the carpet screwed all the way in and breaking off the adjuster....... so I ad to take out the whole interior, seats carpets etc and have new brake pipe made and bypass all the old crud that was there....... anyway......... STICK WITH IT......

Cost me over £ 300 to change a pair of half shafts.......... and then I changed all the brakes / slave cyls etc .
