Copey Posted March 26, 2009 Report Posted March 26, 2009 i dont know about any of you, but i find Bosch window wipers totally useless, anyway, i lost a wiper blade and when i was in town the other day i thought i would just nip and get a cheapy £2 blade from range, and fook me, 10 times better than the Bosch ones at a fraction of the price!! so next time you need new wiper blades, go to Range and get the ones in the blue box £2 each so £4 the pair, work brilliantly!!
FredTransit Posted March 26, 2009 Report Posted March 26, 2009 All our wipers come from the pound shop! Occasionally you get one that doesn't last, but so what? I carry spares just in case. Our pound shops also do bulb and fuse sets, some include a halogen headlight bulb. I have even worked out how to make them look like 'chrome'. I use ally tape from Ratsport, it moulds really well and is totally weather proof.
Dr Feelgood Posted March 26, 2009 Report Posted March 26, 2009 pound shop is the best! absolutely full of junk you think you need but youre only getting cos its a quid
Stu_B Posted March 26, 2009 Report Posted March 26, 2009 We have a 99p store, super bargains I got a jar of jalapeno's the other day, nom nom nom!
FredTransit Posted March 26, 2009 Report Posted March 26, 2009 We have a 99p store, super bargains I got a jar of jalapeno's the other day, nom nom nom! I have had those too! Best buy in the food line was a sweet chilli sauce, £1 for a wine bottle sized pack! Ours also do disposable barbies in the summer, great for runs. Poundland also sells primer and gloss black paint.

Supercharged Nat Posted March 26, 2009 Report Posted March 26, 2009 Bosch wiper blades are expensive and always noisey! i buy blades from my local cheapo place@ 1.99 each. the last set were on the capri for 2 years!. they only stopped working because she sat for 4 months which bent the rubber lips over.
Twinkle Posted March 26, 2009 Report Posted March 26, 2009 if your wipers squeek across the screen give em a wipe with a drop of washin up liquid!! fellas ask the lady of the house and im sure she will show you where its kept
Superblue76 Posted March 26, 2009 Report Posted March 26, 2009 Rain x is awesome stuff, water just beads off the screen. No need for wipers with rain x.

Copey Posted March 27, 2009 Author Report Posted March 27, 2009 my bosch wipers were way better than any of the cheap tat i have ver had? maybe we get better stuff down south? that or they just dont like the salty rain round here...
Seldon Posted March 27, 2009 Report Posted March 27, 2009 Bosch cover their wiper blade rubbers in a protective film to stop them deterorating in the pack & I think are the only people to do it. Wipe them when fitting this might help. Failing that £1.00 here we come............
emu Posted March 27, 2009 Report Posted March 27, 2009 We only ever fit Bosch blades at work (well, except for cars that have those aero-blades or specially designed ones.) Never had a problem with them squeaking. I always use them on my car too, although theyre free so im biased there
