sambo Posted November 30, 2009 Report Posted November 30, 2009 15"compomotive splits LOVE that car mate. Those wheels are fooking great on that car. Perfect. The best looking 15" rims on an OSF i reckon.
Posse Posted November 30, 2009 Report Posted November 30, 2009 image wheels m8,the future pig they are the tits
MK2Ed Posted November 30, 2009 Report Posted November 30, 2009 With the lower profile tyre on a 15/16 your gearing wont change by much anyway... A type 9 or even fookin better type 9 straight cut gearset will give it the bollox, rapid acceleration on a 4.1 13 incher and cruise mode on the 0.82 overdrive...
MK2Ed Posted November 30, 2009 Report Posted November 30, 2009 Piggy, bout time u changed that lame siggy account photobucket thing to one of the fat wide yellow fire spitting turbo nutter...

Admin Vista Posted December 2, 2009 Admin Report Posted December 2, 2009 With the lower profile tyre on a 15/16 your gearing wont change by much anyway... But would a 195/50/15 give me a bigger rolling radius than a 175/50/13?? Yes it would, 195/50/15 is in fact almost identical to 175/70/13 (0.4mm bigger RR) in effect reverting your final drive ratio to what it would have been with the original tyres and diff.
BaileyMex Posted December 3, 2009 Author Report Posted December 3, 2009 Yes it would, 195/50/15 is in fact almost identical to 175/70/13 (0.4mm bigger RR) in effect reverting your final drive ratio to what it would have been with the original tyres and diff. Nice homework mate cheeRS
meXEco Posted December 3, 2009 Report Posted December 3, 2009 Here ya go mate heres a handy tyre calculator: http://www.tyresave.co.uk/tyresize.html You can see theres only 4mm difference between 185/60/13's & 195/45/15's in overall diameter. When fitting some 15's the fronts catch slightly on the lower front edge of front arch-the horizontal section that points towards inner wing-an easy job to sort though-quick nip & tuck. I may yet sell mine as i couldnt get the right offset for my turreted rear end but i've redone that now so should have stock clearances back & may go back to 13's-thay are brand new-no miles-just trial fitted a few times-with brand new tyres also no miles-i'll let you know if i decide to sell.
meXEco Posted December 3, 2009 Report Posted December 3, 2009 Offset calculator also. http://www.1010tires.com/WheelOffsetCalculator.asp
wild pete Posted December 3, 2009 Report Posted December 3, 2009 why not just change your diff ratio, wud be cheaper
DarrenM Posted December 20, 2009 Report Posted December 20, 2009 I would use a 195/45/15 instead of a 195/50/15 on a 7" rim on a MK1 Escort. The 50's look too big to me.
