FOUND MY OLD 1600E TODAY

I FOUND MY OLD 1600E CORTINA TODAY, I WAS WONDERING WHAT HAD HAPPENED TO IT. I SOLD THIS CAR 30 YEARS AGO AND ALWAYS WISHED THAT I HAD KEPT IT. MY MATE GOT TALKING TO SOMEONE AND HE SAID THAT HE HAD A 1600E IN HIS FIELD AND THAT HE HAD NOT USED IT FOR TWENTY YEARS WHEN HE TOLD MY MATE WHERE HE HAD BOUGHT THE CAR, MY MATE REALISED THAT IT WAS ME THAT HE HAD BOUGHT IT OFF. SO TODAY WE WENT TO HAVE A LOOK AND I WAS HOPING THAT IT WAS SALVAGEABLE, BUT THIS IS WHAT I FOUND

No no pics from when i owned it.The chap who owns it said he has some from when he bought it from me and will scan pics and send them to me.The car was mint when i sold it.i was always being asked if i wanted to sell it.Wish i hadnt.will put pics on if he sends them.

the car is in a field near n .corwall near the sea.i guess the salt air has got to it. the car was taken off the road about 20 years ago and has been in the field most of them.

I've had the same thing, i sold a 1600e to some one ten years ago and its not turned a wheel since. I went past not long ago and its lost its screen now

thats a shame, i'm sure there might be a few useable parts on it,

 

i know someone selling a E in that aubergine/purple colour too.
