v8steveie Posted June 30, 2010 Report Posted June 30, 2010 Striped it down and no rust anywhere Before After Just a few little jobs to do
FredTransit Posted July 1, 2010 Report Posted July 1, 2010 Here's one I dragged out of the storage earlier...... Yes that's a nasty hole in the wing, and the pics above were after a wash! Stuff was growing in the bed, and the greedy boards were rotting. After working on her all afternoon and well into the night (replacing the bumper, mirror head, wipers, one of the wheel nuts - where the fook did that go - and stripping the wood off the bed) I got this Now I know that's not mint, but that wasn't the effect I was after. She's a working truck, and even in the 80s she would not be 100% minty fresh, so I left the rust on the bed alone. TBH I think the body's had it's day and it might be time to be looking for another pick up bed.
