and you will probably find that most of the people involved are british so where do we send them ?

I did raise that point earlier, but having given it a little thought:

We could offer them a choice of:

1. Free passage to Afghanistan to join their oppressed "freedom fighters"

2. Indefinite incarceration here as an enemy of the state.

Assuming they choose to fight in Afghanistan with their oppressed muslim brethren, next time an aggrieved poppy wearer sees one of them, he may legitimately be able to shoot him.....................

Just a thought.

Excellent idea, all points. If the British Muslims don't like this country, send em to a Muslim country who, no matter how much they agree with their faith (if not their version of it) won't feed and house them for free......

Ok, so its a minority of the Muslim poulation.

BUT, i and i suppose many others feel as though the Muslim community are secretly nodding thier heads to this atrocious act of disrespect to us Brits.

Never has a Muslim came out and spoke of thier disgust of any act such as this. As soon as something offends the Muslim community, they are VERY vocal about it.

Thats what gets peoples back up. Muslims in my eyes come across as a hatefull religion aiming for world domination and it scares people.

If they werent so aggressive in thier views...... poeple wouildnt be so inclined to hate them as much as some do?

Me? I couldnt give a toss but this whole poppy burning thing has got my back up.

im a bigot then i geuss , i beleive that if they dont like it they can fook off we aren't keeping them in the country by chains or making them follow what we beleive in ..........

so why should we even start thinking about listening to there veiws as far as im concerned anything they or there community want or try and change should be ignored , i beleive it is wrong that there are mosks in england and i beleive its wrong that they can still stand after such a disgraceful outburst of racial hate towards british people!!

I ohnestly beleive it is about time people started sticking up for themselves again , i go to loads of different countrys on holiday and the only one that is being taken over by other countrys is our own ,

you dont visit rome and find a mosk in the vatican , or muslims wearing burhka's because they dont allow it and its not there culture

there is no other country in the world that has been dictated to by others but there own nationality .

im not saying kick everyone out the country because the problem of immagration has gone far to far for this to happen but i do beleive that like in many other places in the world people who move here however they manage to get here should live the way we do as a nation , they shouldnt come over here and start dividing communitys and taking over housing estates or even in some places whole towns or districts in city's

if people choose to move then they should be prepared to change there way of living and learn how to live alongside the native people of where there moving too

if i had driven past them and saw it happening i would have driven through the bastids and told the police that my brakes had failed , if that makes me an arsehole than fair play but they wouldnt think twice about hanging you in there country if you nicked an apple let alone burning a national emblem of remembrance :?

what can we do but talk about it ??

our goverment has the british colony by the wotsits and have given more rights to immagrant foreiners than there native people , were not allowed to stand up against them , were not allowoed to get violent , were not allowed to retaliate when they burn poppys

if we do we get punished put before the court and jailed !!!

we just have to sit back and watch as our country goes down the pan unless we want to do bird or get a serios bout of telling off and punishment !!

what do you suggest we do if you think talk is cheap huh , if i thought i could get away with hanging every single one of the little arseholes who burnt that poppy and were chanting about how our soldiers should burn then i would have a bloody good go at it and im sure a good few others on here would aswell .....

I have not long came back from a holiday in Turkey, now turkey is a muslim country and indeed our hotel was less than half a mile from a mosque (or however you spell it), my point is that the hotel was a posh 5 star hotel and was staffed mainly by local or indeed turkish staff and guess what....they ALL wore a proper staff uniform...no burkers (spelling again), wereas in England they would be allowed to wear some sort of national or religoius clothing. Not once did i see any staff with thier face covered, not a single item of clothing other than the staff uniform and being a hotel the staff were all serving and cooking food which i think they would complain about if in England. Having said all this i found the staff very polite and very helpfull so is it cos we are too soft for the when they come over here?.

I should point out i am NOT a racist and im NOT a bigot BUT i do think everyone should show respect and this small group of muslims are going to tar all muslims with the same brush. IF THEY DONT LIKE OUR ENGLAND THAN FOOK OFF

The United Kingdom – a Multicultural Society

The UK has welcomed newcomers for centuries. It is a mixture of diverse ethnic groups, each with their own distinct culture and sometimes their own language or religion. Afro Caribbean people, for example, arrived in the UK after the second World War.There are over 1.5 million Muslims in Britain, mostly Asians. Asian, however, can be a misleading term as it refers to all those people with roots or family connections in the former British colonies of India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. Asian does not always mean that the person is of Indian descent. Not all Asians are Muslim. Some are Hindus and others are Sikhs. These 2 groups celebrate the festival of Diwalli on November 6th. The Irish have come to Britain for many years, looking for work. After World War Two Irish and other European workers were encouraged to take factory jobs. Britain couldn’t get enough workers to help rebuild the economy and to work in the new

Health Service so employers also looked to former colonies and Commonwealth countries. India, countries in Africa and the Caribbean had been controlled by Britain in the past and had strong cultural links with Britain, including the language. Many arrived in the hope of building a new life for their young families. The descendants of these immigrants are now the teachers, the footballers, the TV presenters, the musicians and the politicians that shape British society. There are numerous ethnic newspapers, magazines, TV programmes, radio stations and internet

sites for each community. The largest groups live in and around the capital London and many other groups are concentrated in the industrial centres in Yorkshire, The Midlands and the South East.

Ethnic minorities timeline

• 19th century: Jewish arrivals from Russia/Poland, escaping persecution;

• Irish people escape from poverty in rural Ireland

• 1948 –50s: Caribbean workers invited to help rebuild post war Britain

• 1950s-60s: Asians from India, Pakistan and Bangladesh escape poverty

• 1970s: East African Asians escape persecution and Vietnamese escape war

• 1980s: Eastern European refugees arrive from war and political unrest in Romania and the former Yugoslavia.

The history of multicultural Britain

For centuries people have settled in the UK, either through invasion, Britain’s expansion into the world, to escape political or religious persecution or in search of better economic opportunities making the UK’s record on multiculturalism second to none in Europe.

The Celts, who lived in Britain from the first millennium BC, were pushed into Scotland, Wales and Cornwall by the Romans and later invaders and settlers from Northern Europe – including the Danes, Norse, Angles and Saxons. The Romans brought the first Black people to Britain; an African division of the Roman army was stationed at Hadrian’s Wall in the 3rd Century. The Normans invaded in 1066, adding French culture to Anglo-Saxon and Celtic life. A Jewish community came into Britain after 1066, until their expulsion in 1290. Oliver Cromwell allowed their resettlement in 1656. Lombards, Hansa and other merchants came for trade, and Gypsies arrived in the 16th century. The Muslim population in Britain dates back to the 18th Century when Muslim sailors, known as lascars, serving on British merchant ships began settling in the port cities of Cardiff, Liverpool, Glasgow and London. The largest migration of Muslim communities

began in the 1950s, coming mainly from South Asia and settling in inner city London, the industrial towns of the Midlands, and the textile towns of Lancashire, Yorkshire and Strathclyde. As of 2001 there are now approximately 1.6 million Muslims in Britain, making it the largest religious minority in Britain. The climate of tolerance also enabled communities fleeing persecution in Europe to settle in Britain as well as other groups attracted to Britain by the chance of economic security, often bringing new trades or coming to work in new industries. The legacy of the British Empire also attracted immigrants from India, Pakistan and Bangladesh in the 1960s to 1980s; they now make up the largest immigrant communities. Many came because of the prospects of work in the textile and other industries. This history of immigration to Britain has produced today’s uniquely diverse nation. There is now an estimated minority ethnic population of more than 4 million, 7.1% of the population. The Office for National Statistics projects that the minority ethnic population will almost double by 2020, because of its higher birth rate. Ethnic diversity has enriched British society, it is now home to communities from every corner of the globe. The different communities have helped build today's vibrant

Britain and contributed to its economic, social, democratic and cultural development. Prime Minister Tony Blair said, ‘We celebrate the diversity in our country, get strength from the cultures and the races that go to make up Britain today.'

I don't know who the author of the document you've extracted that text from was but I guess the essence of it is that go far back enough and we all have some johnny foreigner in us and that over the centuries its the presence of them in our society that has helped shape the nation we are today.

We welcomed them when it suited us and I feel we shouldn't now turn our backs on GENUINE refugees simply because it doesn't.

1.4 million muslims living in Britain today, do I believe they're all terrorists, potential terrorists or even terrorist sympathisers? Not a chance, in fact the muslims I DO know are just as horrified by the actions of Islamic militants as any other normal human being.

Let's not forget that Christianity too has had its demons and cult leaders over the years. And not just in the dim and distant past. For instance, let's not forget that many of the catholic and protestant bombers of the Irish troubles probably all claimed to be Christians and attended mass / church on Sunday morning before plotting atrocities on the sunday night. Did anyone consider that every irish catholic or protestant was a terrorist? No, just the ones that chose to interpret things the way it suited them.

I would like to see more people voting for political partys that are against immigration instead of worrying what others might think of them. Also how many members on here would have joined a protest against the poppie burning scum if they knew it was happening .I am not advocating hanging any one or violent protest, unless they get violent then the gloves are off .As for multicultural britain who asked for it ? .I King hate the way this country has become a melting pot of shit from all corners of the world .I unfortunately live in the west london area so know all to well about immigration .I can walk down the road or go in a shop or get on a bus and be the only white english speaking person on there .You feel like a foreigner in your own country .One small news story in the local paper is about the need for more primary school places. The council has been told it needs to find at least 26 classes of 30 pupils .The council leader has said its all down to immigration so he will probably be appearing at the old bailey soon accused of rascism.

i just thought a little history lesson might be a good idea for the nieve and bigoted amung us

im not niave or bigoted at all really , i agree with all of the stuff that you posted , the only thing that i didnt see were things like the gurhka communitys which stood up for us and fought with us through wars and still do .

i have many different friends from different cultures and im intriuged when they teach me about there different gods etc etc and i think the people who are here who came for a better life and to help build a better britain have got as much right to everything we have in the country

i just think that there should be some foot rules put down to encourage people to work as hard for what we have and others like us have rather than being handed a benifet book a set of house keys and free health care for no input ...... and i must say that most of these people who are prepared to slag our country off and go against our beleifs and culture are usually the ones who are free loading they aren't any of the many shop owners or wealthy business men who have chosen britain to make a family and future for themselves but people who beleive they should be given life and wealth for nothing and im afraid to say but britain must be a haven for these free loaders to come and stay as that is what our goverment encourage with there constant handouts to these people.

i also come across alot of illegal immagrants in my line of work and also my wifes and they work as hard as they can for as little or as much as they can earn because they have a better qaulity of life here than there own country and they will work until there hands bleed if they think that there is a possibility that one day they will be legal citizens and they no longer have to run and hide.

i just think that goverment should have a look who wants and deserves to be here rather than it just being a free for all  and punish also take away the right of having a life in britain if they commit crimes or unhappiness between cultures and community

We're perhaps digressing onto a slightly different topic here Chris. But in my experience, a large portion of the lazy good for nothing free loaders that sponge off the state, were born here and are predominantly white anglo saxons......and as such probably Christians rather than any ethnic religion.

In principal though (aside from the above) you're right, we do need tighter border controls on immigration, both legal and illegal.

F**k the minorities opinions .

Like the minority of people that stood against Nazi Germany? Or the [original] minorities of people that protested against unjust wars like Iraq, Afghanistan and Vietnam? Nah, not f*ck anything like that; just need to take a just approach, inciting hate and stirring up tensions based on race, religion or any lack of respect for others should be a punishable offence.

Bring back the birch!

We welcomed them when it suited us.

Don't remember that :? who exactly do you mean by we and us? the countries largest employers perhaps?

Read the paragraph above again. Specifically the bit about the Afro Caribbean workforce that were welcomed and encouraged to come here after the war to help with the labour shortage. Granted, not everyone one was welcoming (see below) but fortunately the extreme views of a few did not prevail.

I remember hearing my grandmother refer to them once as "those jungle bunnies that came here after the war" I don't remember any time in my life I've been so ashamed.

If you want to discuss it then by all means reply on here. Be advised that any more PM's I receive on the topic I will post on here anyway.

Youve missed the point. Me, your grandmother and most other people NEVER welcomed them... why would we??? how does lower wages, higher unemployment and a greater burden on shools and hospitals help the existing population? ...It only benefits employers.

as for PMs - do you know what the P stands for? PRIVATE
