but thats not the Lotus that has been racing this year,this is Renault and they are being sponsored by Lotus Cars.

Lotus Racing from this year will also be a team in 2011 and they were talking about runnin in Black/gold livery

I remember talking to one of the older engineers at my firm who used to work for Brabham back in the day when they used to use 1.5litre turbo 4pots and he said there were no engine spec regulations and they used to get as much as 1500bhp!!!

 

The reason for the 1500cc was easier to get more boost and revved like a biatch

 

Will be interesting to see what will happen with up to date technology and the restrictive regulations though!!!
