I think people just prefer other forums for the variety

This will always be here ,But i dont see many epic build threads

like we used to see ... people like audiences to show there pride and joys off

I dont think its Retards Club though ...

I personally don't see why we should alter our forum/club to suit other peoples ideas. There are a million and one other groups that cater for virtually every car ever made. This is a great community that caters for a particular genre, that's why I'm here.

Jo, you better watch your lip mrs

Scott. Just no

Dave, rude but concise lol

Very true ninja  THIS IS OLDSKOOLFORD + its been the same since day 1, NO mk2 fiesta's/ mk3 escort's/ Rs turbo's/ cossies body kits ect.. if you have the horn for these type of cars the web is full of them. We on the other hand stick to the true osf's and that's it.

I'm (obviously) a member here and a member on Retards Club.

I prefer the OSF forum as I tend to miss posts and updates on Retards Club if I don't log in for a few days. Retards Club is good as it's all one place but sometimes I feel it can be a bit "information overload"!

It's all nicely organised on OSF too.

Ok I have to 'fess up here and say I have a wide variety of interests around old cars, having owned quite a few over the years from kit cars to citroens via vauxhalls and minis. I've been involved in the organisation of motor sport events and marshalled for 18 plus years on rallies, sprints and hillclimbs. As a consequence I have been a member of any number of clubs and forums over the years, some of which still exist and some of which don't. I also own a S.ierra estate, which is my parts chaser/tip chariot why? because its more interesting than a monde.o but I can use it in ways I might not use a Cortina or Granada estate for instance. Do I want to see a room on here for it? Well I could argue that it's more old skool than a Mk3 Escort, at least its driven from the right end! Mine is one of the last, K reg, so its nearly 20 years old, believe it or not that makes it a classic in age terms, in my eyes at least, even if you ignore that, the S.ierra is a classic being one of the first aerodynamic mass market designs. So do I want to see a room on here for it? Um, no!

I'm going to attack the argument from another angle, perhaps the world of oldskool fords has become a bit 'samey' you have to build your car in a certain way to fit in, maybe it has all been done? Maybe there is nothing to be innovative with anymore? And being innovative has nothing to do with having pots of money. Ask the early American Hot Rod guys. Maybe that leads to it having less interest? As for people on Retro Rides taking really ugly cars and modding them, doesn't that support my argument? Some cars are so ugly they are beautiful! So where does that leave us? Well I think that in these times of economic uncertainty we should be encouraging more people to bring their half finished projects to shows/meets, maybe we should have a 'cheap mods' room to share ideas on how to do carry out quick and simple mods that don't cost the earth. And maybe, me included, we shouldn't be too quick to judge what is and what isn't an acceptable old skool ford within the given criteria of course!

Never been on Faceache and never will  it seems to cause arguments and people seem to fall out on there alot  , though thats what i can make of it after talking to mates who use it  and again its been brought up here as a "possible" cause for the site not being used as much as it was :?: so drop the Faceache OSF page and hopefully resume normal service :lol::lol: .......I also have a Cossie Saff and there great fun as an arse out car but they are just a Sierra  though more desirable in my eyes than a MK3 Escort ...... 8)

I have and don't care if its a big bugget build or a £500 car as long as its an osf. As for the name oldskoolford you will find that we had the name first and whay happerned is that people could'nt think of there own names so just added scottish or highland or what ever other shite they could think of at the time. I really am trying to look at whats best so its great listening to all of your thoughts .

It doesn't matter how much a car/mods cost all that matters is that its osf, people need to post up more about the mods they are doing but also instead of just viewing more people need to reply as it encourages you to do more and post more.

Any way while were on the subject what do you think my cortina will look like with s.ierra bumpers on it and a scooby bonnet scoop???:lol::thumbsup:

It depends which model s.ierra mk1 or mk2 and as for the Scooby scoop you could turn it round and use it as a vent
