You shouldn't give your dog chocolate mate, there is a caffeine type substance in it that can kill them. Dark chocolate it worse as it contains more cocoa than milk chocolate 2

She found it in a bag and ate it hence us rushing to the vets on Christmas Day and forking out £200 to induce her to vomit. 250g to a dog her size is fatal if absorbed into the blood. Luckily we found the wrapper and realised and had her at the vets within 30 mins and she made a full recovery. Would have been the worst Christmas ever if we hadn't of discovered it till later. You're right Scott there's lots that are potentially fatal. Onions, garlic, chocolate, raisins, cola, cooked bones to name a few. Anyway, to get this back on topic, id rather eat proper dog chocolate than that Hershey's crap. Tastes very similar!
