Mk1 Escort door mirror - Whatya got?

I've got some bullet-style door mirrors at the moment. I can see a very very small part of the road with the drivers one and the passengers gives a lovely view of the pavement! No amount of fettering, alteration etc is helping. 

 

So, I'm wondering, what door mirrors are people running that give some vision of the road?

I know what you mean about the bullets. I can only view the rear panel in mine. They are the factory style for my year Twincam but only lasted for one year for a reason.

Good sized mirror and very good vision, had some cheaper mirrors but the reflection was poor.

All 3 look much-of-a-muchness. The cheapest pair might be less "shiney"?

I did also had the bullit mirrors on mine escort mk1 and the sight was also bad , now have got mirriors from Ital drivers side it`s better but on the ohter side it`s still bad.

no they are mk2 escort mirrors, with the plastic feet of a van or estate, it's thicker than a mk2, cheers marcel
