It could be worse, on the way up I saw what looked to have been a 3 car Granada shunt. Beautiful white Mk1 Estate with its front stove in and a mk2 saloon with its back and front (I think) done. Somebody's day ended badly on Saturday

Such a waste of time and effort for nowt. My Mercedes tech is saying that Merc UK are telling him the part I need is as rare as Cinderella's slippers and the car isn't usable as it is. I've sourced a cheap EU copy and will slap that on and hope for the best!

Made in China from sticky back plastic and recycled weetabix! I tried three different non genuine 3Bar Map sensors for the van when the original Magneti Marelli one failed, all useless. Got skinned for a genuine one!
colr6 Posted June 5, 2017 Report Posted June 5, 2017 CF show this year was another success for OSF as we know, but the main thing is how smoothly it runs, which is mainly down to a few people from Scott at the helm to JP and the Dutch crew starting the day expertly sorting us riff raff out. I would like say a big thankyou to you all for making another great day for us all ! 4

It was always a staple for the day but the last two years it hasn't been there! I realise it's not exactly the point of the day but they really were chuffing good!

Only there for the day this year as we had a wedding to go to on the Saturday and then running OSFDC left me with very little time to wander and chat. Another trophy and well deserved thanks to Scott, JP and the Dutch crew who I never even got to speak to and the lovely northern cap wearer (lol) but mucho thanks to our lovely loyal members and their stunning cars on OUR stand 1

Its a shame that several other OSF members decided to park their Classic Ford on other places but never mind, we had a good lot to show the visiters. Always nice to meet up again after a year so we are looking forward to do it again next year. Dutch crew made it home yesterday evening with no big issues. We ( JP & Linda ) only had some heat soak issues in the fuel lines the last 100 miles meaning we only could do 55mph on the end. Think we have to much spoilers all around so the heat can't escape the bottom of the car heating everything up to uncomfortable levels. Rear diffuser will be added to release some bottom heat and think the fuel lines and Facet fuel pump have to be rerouted inside the car to be sure the tripple 40's get suplied with juice all the times. 2

Stottie I'm guessing is a trading name but there was definitely a Hog Roast van there (opposite the Pit Stop Diner) as my 6 year old daughter had awkward questions about why there was a pig on a stick in the back of a van. I elected not to explain the term "Spit Roast" to her, even for its proper meaning! 1
