Now do I tar all budding ' escort ' owners with the same brush or what. Some people take the Micheal out of my choice of Vauxhall  engine and. Lowly Anglia. But cum on does it take this amount of stupidity to join the supposed 'elite ' Somehow I like 70k in my bank a red top that's quicker than a zetec and an Anglia that cost buttons and problably have a lot more fun. Think I can claim some sanity in my choices......LOL

I have a personal theory on that listing. I reckon what is happening is people are making silly bids that they've no intention of honouring in an effort to prevent him selling what in effect is a ringing kit.

Otherwise what's the point? The current bid is about on par with the value of a finished twin cam.......but still with all the restoration costs necessary.

You would have to take them to court yourself, eBay won't do anything. Can you see eBay backing you up on a claim? No doubt there will be some small print somewhere in the whys and wherefors in the eBay selling contracts that they won't.

no you do have to take them to court your self it happened with a yacht a few years back it didn't make what the seller wanted and the person took him to court and got it

Guys for 65 thousand quid you can have my complete one! It even has Lotus engine under the bonnet and not to sound too superior, an actual bonnet!

My favourite part of that screen shot is that ad for the Karcher Window Vac. I think their marketing department needs to do a better job at their target audience. Thats alot of technology for one little quarter window!

Actually the biggest surprise is Col claiming a low tech troglodyte lifestyle yet can manage a screen snap and re-post! How on earth did you achieve that? I have been trying work that out for years!

Click on the title bar of the window that you want to capture. Press “Alt + PrtScn”. A screenshot of your currently active window will be copied to the clipboard, just as in the last section. Paste it into your favorite image editor or document editor.1 Sep 2016

Thanks I will give that a try.

Did you read some of the comments in the questions section of that auction? Some people gave him a lot of stick for it. One of them asks if his granddad is still in the car and will the guy thrown him in for free if he is. They guy said he would LOL

If the ad was genuine, just goes to show how much a v5 and a vin plate is worth for a ringer !! But was it worth it ........DONT think so. Even with his grandad in or the queen for that matter.

Col in response to ur Vauxhall motor, I was so close to buying a mk1 Tina with a Vauxhall motor an couldn't see a downside, apart from not having the time to see it

In my other life of hot rods, when some1 first turned up in a 30s ford with a small block chevy there was tuts all over... Til they saw the advantages now it's common place

In my opinion your the first of many!

Sorry thats happen to your car Col. Very sad.

Look on the bright side....good job it wasn't a new car !...lol. Like I say to him with his bikes if you can't take the accidents don't to it ! Believe you and me they do happen. The young uns think they are invincible that's what makes them so quick. Unlike us older ones where sense takes over or is it FRIGHT !

Thanks, he's ok, when your younger you bounce back or bounce in the case of when he falls off his bike. The car is going into the bodyshop to be jigged as it bent the chassis in two places and the door won't shut. Hoping to salvage the wing with just a repair piece around the headlamp. Good job it was a solid shell with steel wings and arches of think it could have been a lot worse.
