Whereas I slummed it in a mk4 (and then 5) 1.6L. You must have been posh.

I bought my Missus a Chocolate Brown Tina for £80 when she was about 17 or 18, but it was too big for her.

I had it for a while then and absolutely loved it while she pottered about in our XR3.

Had a decent size back seat too... 😇

My thoughts were to sell the cortina on but been chatting today and think I should restore it, but more rolling resto

get the engine bay painted and detail the engine

remove the interior as that was fitted back in 1988 as the original interior was stolen, replace it with some roll top recaro’s and get rear seat trimmed to match

I have a set of Mexico deep dish steels which would suit it

paint the rear panel, bumpers, handles and mirrors satin black a-la ‘S’

I'm trying to keep track of all your cars, and i'm lost! You seem to aquire a new one every other week, I don't know how you find the time for all your projects, but definitely keep it.

Very appropriate. How do you decide what car to work on each week? I find it hard enough with just one!

I don’t lol

just try to buy the right bits when they come up for sale, just have to prioritise if poss lol

the Anglia needs sills/jacking points welding so I’ll get it stripped as the nights are now getting longer so couple of late nights will get that done

Mk2 Mexico is being put up for sale soon and Mk1 RS2000 I’m still buying stuff so maybe next year will tackle the paintwork so only leaves me the cortina to do this summer (and the Rover P5b)

Your probably thinking a red top anyway lol

if it arrives it’s got to be fitted really hasn’t it

Not thinking red top at all, I was looking round for a slant when I looking at a viva estate to restore.

Damm,

I weighed in 3 Vauxhall "slants" just before Christmas, 2 x 2.3,s and 1 x 1800, had them on Ebay for £100 for the 3 , no interest in them, so got the scrap value on them.

Never thought to even mention it on here due to the FORD in OLD SKOOL FORD.

You could have had them for a 4 pack of Newcastle Brown no problem.

What a "T**T".

I loved the "Slant" in it's day, always wanted to do a 2600 "Stroker" slant, but then went onto Fords and never turned back.

Sorry mate, just never ever thought.
