Funny I would naturally never even know who that was but just happen to have seen footage of her that created some controversy that even got coverage here. She said that Emily Thornberry thought all Labour Leave voters in the North were idiots and she was lucky hers weren't that stupid or something. I hope Thornberry doesn't become Labour leader or something or they will never get elected again.

She's also the same stupid bint that lost her job for sneering at white van man's use of the English St George's Cross Flag.

I just read that article in the link, I wasn't sure who to believe in the he said / she said comments originally but having read that there can be no doubt she looks down on patriotic working class leave voters, pretty much supporting Flint's claim. Your Labour Party has become likes ours, they have turned into a bunch of elitists who are almost no different to those rich elite in the conservative party and their belief in their self entitlement and how they know better than the public and we are just a bunch of ignorant plebs. We dont have a working class party any more.

Mp’s are all the same no matter what party !! ...they are  looking out for number one ! ... sod the voting public . Just out to line their own pockets . They get to Vote for their own pay rises , benefits etc etc .. modern day Robbers . If anyone wants a job for life and end up a lord ... become a politician .

If everyone on here completes the poll, roughly 43% will choose Conservative. Ask me how I know 😂

How do you know?

well were the northern idiots that voted Labour out! Caroline Flint has done a lot of good for our area.  just a shame i had to vote against her for the likes of Corbyn or Thornberry.  Shes the labour alternative to Thatcher!

Because that was the national vote share. I wasn't quite sure why we were having a poll about it given that there is so much metadata, relating to the election, available elsewhere.

These threads arent about statistics to determine national averages LOL Its a tradition to have pre/post Election thread here to allow some discussion so people can vent after enduring weeks of frustration leading up to it. I don't even vote but chat but still give my two pennies worth 😀

Obviously you have not been privy to the weeks of discussion, debate, raging, mud slinging, rants, insults, trolling, polling, memes, fake news, etc. that has dominated the UK's social media, traditional media, print media, work places, homes, schools, pubs, etc. The last thing any of us need is another venting platform haha. What would be far more cathartic at this point is for everyone to step away from it all for a while, put down the iphones, walk away from the keyboards, ignore TV screens and to not bring up the subject amongst family and friends!

So ignore the thread then - follow your own advise and let the rest of us play like kids!

Participate or don't, up to you.

My interest was more what the general feeling amongst petrol heads that use this forum was..........and I did try really hard on all the other outlets but that doesn't seem to feature on any of the mainstream media polls or feedback forums

I will try not take that too condescendingly LOL Im not quite sure how my post suggests an "obvious" shielded ignorance on my part when the suggestion by me that these posts are often started as a beneficial means for some (but clearly not all) to come down off those very overloaded stressful highs you just listed yourself, and in a friendly and humorous way? I may have been spared the deluge of repetition of the UK election but neither live in a social vacuum and in threads such as these I often participate as an opportunity to learn and appreciate the time people take to explain some of the confusing minutia, especially after them having to endure weeks of it prior and help me understand some of the odd parts of it. From links provided in this thread alone I have learned about the concepts of "the white van man" and the supposed underlying message by displaying the English flag, although Im still just as puzzled as the Americans would be on that one! The good thing about this forum is that I learn a whole lot more than just about cars. Its a bit of a cultural excursion without having to buy a plane ticket. Although I did learn what a Donk was on here and has made me chuckle ever since. 🙂

Remember that old theme song from the James Bond film "You Only Live Twice"? I think you guys should use that as an Election theme song just change the word Live to Vote LOL "You only Vote Twice, or so it seems. One Vote for yourself and one for your dreams......"
