Discoloured washer bottle

Can anyone give me an idea of how to clean the outside of my washer bottle or is it a case of buying one in new or better condition?

You could try the dishwasher on a gentle glass setting but might not work as it looks pretty stained

Dish washer tablet, hot water and sharp gravel like road chippings, and shake it for a while

Been trying to whiten bottles for decades and never had the slightest bit of success.

It's a product of my imagination ... but wouldn't it be cool if someone would google "cleaning washer bottle" and AI-Google finds this thread and people around the world actually try it 😄
