  1. OldSkoolFord will be 15 next year and we plan a few special anniversary activities to celebrate this. Events and merchandise are all now in the planning process and updates on here will come as soon as items are finalised. Look out for Classic Ford show news as we aim for the biggest stand yet and retain the Best Club Stand trophy for the 4th consecutive year. Our very own Tour of the Moor will be happening again on the 21-23 June. So if you fancy a weekend away in the quiet west country town of Ashburton, driving around open Moor land and socialising with like minded individuals, keep an eye on this thread and the events page. With more to come, stay tuned and keep it OldSkool

  3. Just in case you lost your mind and thought a Range Rover was a sign of good taste, one Range Rover owner also thought this was a good idea.

  6. Wow so thats really a commercial thing you pay to do to Porsches. I think the 944 version looks pretty good actually.

  7. Looks like a DP Cargo conversion 18,000 Euros plus a good 924. Not cheap. This tells you about them, but the roof isn't fibreglass, it's modified from a Passat. https://www.classicdriver.com/en/article/cars/porsche-924-dp-cargo-a-weird-fibreglass-dream

  8. In the late 80s NSW Police when through pick on any car enthusiast phase and one of their targets for defect was added driving lights. If it wasn't original your car was issued with a defect notice. I'm still pretty sure aftermarket lights were still legal but they did it anyways. I was called smart ar*e several times when after I let them write out a ticket them tell them to check out the Ford symbol in the middle of the glass and one time it even went through the system. I wrote them to proceed to court as I was refusing to pay the fine and challenging their ruling, before being able to embarrass them in court I received a letter saying they were dropping the matter but told me not to infringe again. Go figure.

  9. As i understand it the RX box top/6th gear isn't that much different to the 5th on a type 9 either. All you are gaining is a (currently cheaper) stronger box with an extra gear in between. Dunno exactly what diff /engine combo you are running, but I run a T9 in my Zetec Corsair with a 3.7 diff and I can sit at 70 /80 all day long and still get between 35/40 to the gallon and it doesn't sound busy at all, I dont think anyway.

  14. Col gets the credit for finding this one (and getting a great screenshot of it). This is the ultimate ridiculous auction. But equally stupid are the 60 bids for it.
