I used just 1 can of 5 litres for my car.
-
Recently drained the coolant on my car and flushed the system with new G12 coolant (pink). Then filled it up with the G12 stuff but only after I removed the radiator and flushed that also (upside down). Couldn't believe that crap that came out of that. And as Ian said never mix different kinds of coolant.

In winter we do not turn the heating on unless it's below 0 .
-
35 degrees here! And it will probably last until tomorrow ... unbearable ...
-
It does idle very well on the F21's. Never seen or heard of "Reedmoral" DCOE replica's.
-
Progression holes have nothing to do with how it's running on idle. For twin 40's I would start with 50F9 's. And ofcourse adjust the mixture screws to get it running smoothly. Can you post a photo of the old type carbs with the plug over the port?
-
When I tune carbs I have a std set of ideljets: 45, 50, 55, 60, 65. And of each of these sizes an F4, F8, F9, F6 jet (from lean to rich). I can make small steps in idlejet-sizes. But the F21 idlejet has only 1 brother/sister: the F22. That is slightly leaner. If you have a 59F21 then there is no small step towards a richer jet. 59 is the biggest and there is no F-number available that is slightly richer than F21. So you will have to switch over another "set" of idlejets or you could drill the 59's out to 60 but I am not a fan of drilling jets and you cannot go back in size.
-
Are you sure it is a 59 idle jet?? The F number denotes a (1 or 2 or 4) certain air hole in the idle jet. Unfortunately there is no system in the F numbers but you should be able to find a list of F numbers online.

A Day Out In Your Old Skool Ford
Miniliteman replied to Rally Pack 2000's topic in OLD SKOOL FORD CHAT
Couple of weeks before our Classic Ford Event in Venlo (this was years ago, no recent photos) we went to the venue to look at possible slalom layouts on the landing strip area of the small Traffic Port airfield. Of course we had to try how sticky the tarmac was ... within in a few minutes a police helicopter was circling above and it landed just a few meters away from my car! Luckily they weren't after me, the co-pilot needed to go to the toilet ... PS: vid of the 2011 Event here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ofqak2kuWsc -
The man who sprayed the cars was a short guy 😁

Didn't know that you learn something every day. Any idea in what countries these white connectors were used? Never seen them over here. There is a big round (rubber) connector in there which could mean Mk1 Escort.
-
It has Ford specific connectors. As Katana said the white plugs are not original, maybe even 3D printed! And if you look closely it has several burnbed wires. Scrap.

Distastefully Modified Old Skool Fords - Show us your worst!
Miniliteman replied to Vista's topic in OLD SKOOL FORD CHAT
Dont know if this one has been on here in the previous 58 pages; the owner probably couldn't afford a real testarossa so he build the next best thing, well sort of. JP and/or Marcel will have seen it at a meeting in Holland many years ago. -
Abandoned, Dumped and Forgotten!

You would need to be Schwarzenegger's big brother to drive it on the road. On the track it is not so bad as the car is rolling (at speed). This is how it looks today. -

Many many years ago I went to a guy to buy some Minilites. As we were interested in Minilites, Mk1 & Mk2 Escorts he showed us what he had hiding in a small garage (he had a big shed also). It is (was) a genuine Willment Mk1 race car. After that used a speedway (oval) car here in Holland. Current owner gave it a gentle make-over (just paint and rebuild the engine).
