  1. Actually the switch switches the earth to the heatermotor. One side of switch goes to earth the other via the resistor to earth. Ign feed goes to heater directly.
  2. Maybe RP2000 could send him some of the Australian killer spiders 😛
  3. That oil pressure on tick over is too low. What VR1 oil do you have? If possible get a good oilpressure gauge and measure it again.
  4. Hope this isn't transferable to humans as Covid was .. 😒
  5. @ RP2000 : can you identify this one??
  6. "Understeer" is when you hit the fence with the front of the car. "Oversteer" is when you hit the fence with the rear of the car. "Horsepower" is how fast you hit the fence. "Torque" is how far you take the fence with you. 😀
  7. Agree. But if you do change the ARB first check how many mm you have left if the front wheels are turned (lock-to-lock). Rear axle is positioned to the back a bit but that could be optical illusion.
  8. Like this? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/234409666784
  9. In the photo Sierra is on the left, RS on the right. Friend of mine once used steel synchros but quickly changed back to brass. Don't know why exactly, probably wear related.
  10. Photo with Sierra gearbox and RS gearbox parts together. Friend of mine adapts extension housing for F2 stockcar but it can also be modified for std Escort gearstick position.
  11. Different diameter. Most if not all of the aftermarket gearsets are for the RS gearbox.
  12. Rs gearbox has a different main shaft.

  14. Sold my new set recently ... in the UK no one seems to sell the fast road items. Seen them for sale in Germany not long ago.
  15. For 8x13 and 9x13 wheels I would say 52 inch for 10x13 it depends on their ET-value.
  16. Is fitting some 90 degree terminals from an old loom a possibility?
  17. I always say anyone can ask hollywood style money for their ask, getting it is another matter. That's why I look at "sold listings" on ebay. Like this one: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/255178947565
  18. Maybe the "For Sale" sign on the car is the real message ...
  19. Think I have 3 NOS genuine Ford items. Will have a look in the garage tomorrow.
  20. Indicator cancelation cam.
  21. Bearing dimensions can be found here: https://www.burtonpower.com/wheel-brg-kit-f-mk1-2-rs-ford-capri-not-3-0-from-10-71-skf114.html https://www.burtonpower.com/wheel-brg-kit-f-mk2-esc-cort-mk3-5-skf266.html
  22. Over here a lot of crashed cars with blown airbags are sold for scrap value to Poland. They have a "work around" : they repair the car (bodywork and mechanicals, labour is still cheap over there) then make a list of airbags needed to make those cars complete again. Some of their friends then travel back to Holland with said shopping list and they remove the airbags from parked cars during the night. Sometimes a few dozen in the same night. Airbags are fitted to the repaired cars and the cars are sold in Poland for good money. Or they are brought to Germany then exported to Holland where they are sold as used German cars. 🙄
  23. It's working OK, multimeter had a flat battery. Will try and send you a pm.
