  1. Any chance you were up in the loft looking for a Chinese Vase? lol
  2. Just imagine the hammer going down and the vibration made the vase fall and smash into a million pieces Lol, I guess jealousy will get you nowhere!!!
  3. You seem to know alot about these scams!!! lol
  4. Nice motor! It was his money that bought it so its up to him what he does to it! At the end of the day, if it is a genuine RS1800 then the log book will prove that and it will always be worth loads of doh!!!!! I don't like arches but again, its not my car so it doesn't matter lol
  5. I know where you are coming from but you have more sidewall to play with on a 185/60 so the stretch is not as exagerated!
  6. looks like i will have to cut a hole in my bonnet if these new 2.0L blocks are coming with that extra piece of cast iron off the bottom of the main caps!!! lol
  7. You cant beat a Nankang!!! Best budget tyre on the market in my opinion! A 185/60 13 on an 8 inch rim is no more stretched than a 175/50 13 on a 7 inch rim. The main reason that the 175/50 13 even exists is so that all them mini lovers out there can fit 7 inch rims to there pride and joy without the tyre fouling the arches etc. Some of these "Euro look" cars out there take it to the absolute extreme and probably to the point of endangering tyre failure but a 185 on an 8 inch rim seems fine to me!!!
  8. My car has had around 6 engine changes this year alone, all done with the gearbox still in the car!!! Livewire's way is deffo the easiest!!!
  9. Great pics mate but half of them seem to be missing! Do you have any more pics of the Euro style fiesa with the zetec in it. It was the one that had a gold painted gearbox and rollcage!!!
  10. I wouldnt worry about getting the cam in, how the hell are they going to get the valves in with the head on??? lol!
  11. You deffo have to move the hole for rocket box or type 9, just cant remember how much by! Hows things anyway? havnt seen you for a while!!!
  12. I used to have trouble with burning out starter motors on my old pushrod engine! Managed to get hold of a brand new original ford starter and problem solved!! All these cheap nast ones from Euro Car Parts and the like are a load of poo! Worth checking to see if your timing is not too far advanced tho!!!
  13. Deffo you should get a quote with you as the registered driver and your mum as a named driver! I have found elephant the cheapest in the past!!
  14. Do you have the old type ones with Hi spec engraved in the hub nut cover or the new type without the engraving? hi spec recommended I use heat to fit the bearings so thats what I did!!! After all, theres no point in risking damaging shiney new bits and Sambo may not have a proper race and bearing driver!
  15. If they are machined properly then they will not just push in!!! They are the same type of bearing as a standard hub and, like already stated, if you heat up the hub and freeze the bearing then they should drop straight in! Or just heat the hub and it should tap in with a hammer and punch or something similar!!! I have hi spec hubs and they were a fairly tight fit so i would recommend heating the hub rather than just forcing them in!!!
  16. Got back from two weeks away with work to find a package on my door mat with my track time passes for ford fair!!!! Would just like to say a big thanks to Mk2Mania for making it half the price for me so that I could afford two sessions!!!! Now all I have got to do is convert my car from drag spec to race spec!!!!
  17. I'd be interested in this too i might even have a set you could practice on Its ok mate, i have a set already
  18. keep me posted, interested in this No worries mate, Altay at burtons has got a set of wheels for me to have a go at so I will see how it pans out! I have all the equipment at work to do a nice job and the band that will be welded back in will be laser cut so it shouldnt be too much of a problem so all I need now is time and I will get stuck in!
  19. Theya re all the same mate but a hot tip for brownie points... She tries something on, all is well then she doesnt buy it (WTF) then she starts looking elsewhere!!! While that is all going on, tell her you are nipping off to the loo and go back to the shop and buy what she had tried on but didn't buy (WTF) and then at the end of the shopping trip when you are in the car on the way home and she is disappointed because she didn't buy anything coz she couldn't make a decision for herself, you present her with what you have bought for and, and you are in the good books for at least an hour HAPPY DAYS!! And if she did buy a load of stuff, you can either take it back or give it to her anyway, or just save it for the next time you might need some brownie points!!!
  20. I will be experimenting very soon on banding some steels! Prices will be very competitive!!!
  21. Blimey, I bet them SOHC heads are few and far between!!! Anyone got any photos of this kit fitted in a car?
  22. What tyres were they? If they were Michelin then no but if they were avon then yes!!!
  23. This is the only way to get them cleaner than clean!!! Double up on the pillow cases!!!
  24. Like I said, they paid for it with their own money so they are entitled to do whatever they want with it!!! If they were stealing them off the street then that would be a different matter altogether!!! What's it to you if they buy a million pound house, kit it out with top of the range stuff and then burn it down...? If people don't like seeing rare motors get smashed up then... A) Don't watch it and They should have got in there first and bought the rare motor before the banger bos did!! SIMPLES Gets abit boring listening to people whinge on about banger boys! Its their adrenelin rush just like jumping in my escort and going seriously sideways is mine!!!
  25. The banger boys bought the car fair and square so if they want to smash it up, its their choice!!!
