Mr Sam Posted April 17, 2007 Report Posted April 17, 2007 so is this shelby an OSF reason i ask im thinking about using it in the pic competition
Cookie Posted April 17, 2007 Report Posted April 17, 2007 Yes, but not in the eyes of the OSF site I would imagine, I love these old American hulks myself Not sure, but doubt it mate
FlashCadillac Posted April 17, 2007 Report Posted April 17, 2007 yeah... im no voice of power but its older than my capri and its a ford so it ticks all the criteria
tazrocks88 Posted April 17, 2007 Report Posted April 17, 2007 yeh i would have thought so but is it european ford or all old ford? its an ugly brute but i still like it
arch Posted April 17, 2007 Report Posted April 17, 2007 its american muscle diferant type of oldskool but yer it is . looks well mean
Nettles Posted April 17, 2007 Report Posted April 17, 2007 The only good thing that came out of America was their muscle cars. I would say yes it's an OSF, but thats just my opinion.
Mr Sam Posted April 17, 2007 Author Report Posted April 17, 2007 thinking about it though this site is about the brittish built old skool fords its also a tuner car being a 'shelby'
FlashCadillac Posted April 18, 2007 Report Posted April 18, 2007 i dont remember it saying anywhere that no yanks aloud i dont agree with the tuner refference, still built by ford if thats the case then anything crayford did isnt a ford anymore
DeuceCoupe Posted April 18, 2007 Report Posted April 18, 2007 old american cars are great muscle cars
john_3.0s Posted April 18, 2007 Report Posted April 18, 2007 not exactly attractive though is it.... a bit of mopar on the other hand
Admin Vista Posted April 18, 2007 Admin Report Posted April 18, 2007 i dont remember it saying anywhere that no yanks aloud If you wanted to be picky you could say check the home page Dedicated To British Built Old Skool Fords Don't have a great deal of time for Yank motors myself, I'm sure they work fine over there and I'll admit that some of the muscle cars do look good. But generally they don't work well on European roads or with most European drivers. Back to the original question though, it's your photoshop competition, use what you like eh?
Osgood Isgood Posted April 18, 2007 Report Posted April 18, 2007 so is this shelby an OSF YEP.......nuff said!
Triangulation Posted April 18, 2007 Report Posted April 18, 2007 I would've thought it wouldn't be worthy of being on the site. Awesome car like, but by the old school would you have a Model T Ford on here?
105Nick Posted April 18, 2007 Report Posted April 18, 2007 Of course it is, and as to the reference that its a tuner car, if that be the case then niether are Lotus cortinas OSF, or for that matter any Mk1 AVO Escort as they weren't strictly built by the main division of Ford but a bunch of petrolheads in a makeshift workshop. What's the difference if it came from the UK or US, an awesome old skool ford's still ticks the same boxes, if that's the case then MK2 RS2000s and RS2600 Capris are poo cos they were made in Germany. How's that sound? Agreed though the 69 wasn't the best year for American Fords esp the Stang, 1964 1/2 - 66 were the best, pre 67 obligatory and after that it all went to pot after too many burgers. Also Ford management were assholes to Carol in 69, he had very little say in what went into building the 69 Shelby GTs and was limited to the same stock as what Ford went about putting in their own Boss Mustangs which helped Ford with the fact that their own car could keep up with a 'Shelby', which finished his stint with them, after he'd shown Ford the way that the Mustang with a hot engine would be a top seller and made the Stang a legend.
Admin Vista Posted April 18, 2007 Admin Report Posted April 18, 2007 made the Stang a legend. Just don't show it any corners eh? P.S. Just checked a thesaurus for alternative words for legend, it came up with the following : - Fairy tale, myth or fable I submit therefore that it's a legend that the Mustang was any good
bomber1 Posted April 18, 2007 Report Posted April 18, 2007 not exactly attractive though is it.... a bit of mopar on the other hand amen to that m8 i saw a 68 f reg dodge charger in reigate today. white with the black stripe over the boot
Arched Escy Posted April 18, 2007 Report Posted April 18, 2007 not exactly attractive though is it.... a bit of mopar on the other hand amen to that m8 i saw a 68 f reg dodge charger in reigate today. white with the black stripe over the boot Fords aren't Mopar.
