How long did it take for you to pass your driving test???

That's about the same for me. Failed first time, but only had two lessons between that failure and passing.

Well, third....although technically it was the second time. My real second test was cancelled due to frost!

all I ever wanted to do was drive when I was 17, even exams and shite at skool were less important to me so I booked my theory the day after my 17th, had 5 lessons and then took my test 1month later and passed with 3minors

 

then crashed me mk2 about 2months after that!!!

Mind you I did drive around illegally for the whole seven months before deciding I better take some lessons prior to the test (not something I would advocate....I was a young impetuous fool at the time)

 

When I did take lessons my instructor was great. I had picked up so many bad habits driving, like one hand on the wheel, cutting corners etc etc etc...one day he said

"Right I'm going to drive, and I'm going to scare you as much as you scare me!"

 

He then proceeded to sh*t the life out of me with some truly brilliant McRAE-esque driving!....did the job and I listened to every word he said after that!

1 month/ 8 lessons 9th lesson was my driving test and i passed first time with 4 minors and i got 34 on theory and 65 on hazzard perception:thumbsup:

 

my tester kept chatting too me while we wer driving which was quite distracting. at the end he said..... write that was a great start to my day well done uve passed and i thoroughly enjoyed the drive apart from wen i nearly went through the window on the emergency stop but il ignore that because thats probably the way u wer taught

 

i fooking planted that brake pedal through the floor and he was mid air until we stoped lol

had about 30-odd lessons last year and my instructor said I drove better on my first real outing driving by myself than most people he took for their test!

 

gotta book my theory when I get some spare cash...
