Dont know where Baz got his from Al but I know the Capri Club still make them as its off a mk1 Capri, should fit yours though as I think the boot lids were the same.

You dont have to be a member of CCI to buy stuff off them either, here's the number mate

It's not a MK1 capri duck tail. It's a proper MK1 escort one along with the chin spoiler. So big baz tells me. I think it is cool. well done to baz for breaking the mould.

I think breaking the mould would be a good thing!, doesn't look right

its not likely to help with reducing rear end lift unless your doing 100 to 120mph.

A front spoiler is going to be far more use as you want to close the car to ground gap so less air passes underneath - all the bits poking out underneath cause drag & turbulence.

There's a few good books on the subject, "Competition Car Downforce" by Simon McBeath is not bad as it has loads of practical stuff for the DIYer & stays clear of the fluid dynamics equations!

The front and rear spoilers came from a chap in Germany and they was used in the 70's for the touring cars  the rear is a proper MK1 escort, NOT a capri rs3.1, , Old Ford Autos do them both  Also avaiable soon will be MK1 Escort 2 door doors with hinges to fit straight onto your car, fiberglass rear bumper to match the front quarters they already do
