Qulifiying went well.. small chassis adjustment and TP's adjusted .. first race on saturday, 2 laps from home and 3rd in class ..... BANG

John Cross lost it into the chicane in his V8 Mercedes spacframe car and T boned Andy ... inner and outer sill mullered, door mullered, a and b pillars moved .. but we got Andy back out for Race 2 on the Sunday where he had a good finish in the soaking wet on slicks as it started raining on the formation lap.

Got 2 weeks till Lydden to fix the car .. plenty of time

Thats a shame Gary, after all the hard work you and your team have put into getting the car spot on over the closed season, I think I would be crying now if I was Andy

shame but atleast its not terminal.

dont wanna sound stupid but what are 'TPs' ??

Not a stupid question at all ... being stupid is not asking ..

TP's = tyre pressures and the chassis adjustment was the camber setting .

Well said, I applaud that sentiment. Too many so called "experts" look down their noses at those of us that are less well informed, it's refreshing to see one that has the same outlook as me on asking and answering questions.

Car doesn't look too bad, certainly not compared to the last pictures I saw of it after an accident. Good luck in the next round

 Damn!! Hope you guys get it sorted soon! Is it difficult to repair the 'moved' A and B pillars then retro??

shouldn't be too bad once the sills are cut out.

I should just add that this is the first bad knock the cars had since it was rolled in '93 ... so she aint done bad and lives to beat the newer cars again

"just a flesh wound..." as my old man would say, you'd be surprised how bad it has to be before you give up on a shell - a bit of fresh tin & a jig, splash of paint & you'd never know.

A guy I know put an Escort Cosworth end over end in a big way on a forest stage, a few days work and it was respectable & straight again.
