johnny_h Posted July 21, 2007 Report Posted July 21, 2007 After a chase up and down several link roads and sideways round a few roundabouts I finally caught this non osf member in Medway! Fella's name is Luke and he owns this immaculate Mex (yes it is a mex) with a pinto and RS2000 running gear. Seemed like a good bloke and never heard of OSF (that's all changed) He also lives right where the Medway meet takes place! Hopefully he'll be joining up soon

bronze4door Posted July 22, 2007 Report Posted July 22, 2007 that looks well cool and it is good to see something a different colour to the norm
BronzeRS Posted July 27, 2007 Report Posted July 27, 2007 Just a quick message to all to thank you for the kind words concerning my car. Rather than post photos, I have a website for my photography called indiphotography.co.uk where i have a whole gallery of my escort on there:) BTW, I havent seen johnny hanging around outside my house so he cannot be that good a stalker;). cheers, Luke. P.s unfortunately, on the way home from talking to Johnny, I lost two cylinders and had to get the car home on the other two. sounded like a stationary engine! I had a friend come over with a Compression tester and found that numbers 1 and 2 were only half the compression of 3 and 4. We pulled the leads on 1 and 2 when it was running and it continued running (although lumpy) exactly as it was when i first got the problem. we can only assume that the head gasket has gone between one and two?? Hopefully someone here will be able to tell me if this sounds right?? It is a pain in the arse as i have used the car more this year than I have the last eight that ive owned it:) I know, that is bad and I will admit that the car has run better this year through use than it ever did. Let that be a lesson to the horders who buy and then hide away!! Also, I will put my twin 40s on a bit earlier than winter now if I have to go digging into the engine bay for other reasons . P.P.S FAO: PELVINS. Is that your Anglia in your sig?? Saw you at Sheerness beginning of the season. That is one damn fine car you got there. My dad and I were creaming over it all afternoon;) not literally!! P.P.P.S (last one i promise) Can someone fill me in on the next meeting at the Ship and Trades in Medway? I may not have the car done for the next one but I can walk down to introduce myself to the masses!! Thanks people and have a good weekend. Luke
