jimbo Posted September 23, 2007 Report Posted September 23, 2007 WTF is that!!!????? HeHeHe...... Didn't even see that heap 'o' shite on there, My brain is programmed to look straight past that kind of poor excuse for a car, and especially the dumb-ass blond types that they drape them in for photo shoots. Did someone say it won a car of the year award? What a poor year for cars, even by Max Power's (ahem) standards! Just as well it's got all those speakers in it, so the driver can't hear people laughing at them as they drive down the street! The exhausts are still worth checking tho'
Admin Vista Posted October 4, 2007 Admin Report Posted October 4, 2007 Hey Johnny, Claire is telling her side of the story over on TS, perhaps you should put your side of the story there too http://www.turbosport.co.uk/showthread.php?t=123131

johnny_h Posted October 4, 2007 Author Report Posted October 4, 2007 That's made me fookin angry! People I have never met or had any dealings with slagging me off about something they know nothing about! I don't give a FOOK if other people have had nice experiences with peter lloyd. I haven't and I was spoken to like a ladies part. I'm not out to get anyone, just giving you my experiences, good or bad.

Johnny, in fairness it was only one person, not "people" and he was genralising ... as in ' dealling with the public, you meet allsorts. Your side has been well put across, here and over there by Jono.. shes said her bit .. you've said yours its all there, Even though you have surport on this, you know people will still buy stuff from PLR... even Jono has after posting it over there originally, something which he readily admits. The saddest thing out of this whole thing is the remarks made by some, and remarks aimed at others by people who arnt involved..
johnny_h Posted October 4, 2007 Author Report Posted October 4, 2007 Re read it mate. There were two members calling me a tinker lol or tossa, indirectly or not. I didn't ask for anything to be posted on TS and if people want to buy stuff from them then good luck to them. If you read the very first post in this thread you will see I was just going to give people a heads up on the fit of peter lloyds exhaust as I had mentioned to a couple of other mexico owners that I was going to order one. I even praised them on thier speedy delivery but the fact remains, I ordered an exhaust to fit a standard mexico and was sent the wrong item. When I called to complain I was told repeatedly that I was wrong and not only was I wrong I would have to pay more money to get the correct item! Which I did.
jimbo Posted October 4, 2007 Report Posted October 4, 2007 Johnny, in fairness it was only one person, not "people" and he was genralising .... Although, in fairness to Johnny, it seems to have spawned into people over the subsequent thread. The saddest thing out of this whole thing is the remarks made by some, and remarks aimed at others by people who aren't involved.. Totally agree with you here Retro. I can't be bothered to trace all the way back through this (the OSF thread) but I'd be surprised if a couple of haven't jumped on a name-calling bandwagon. It's only natural to want side with someone to help ease someone else in a time of woe. At work I deal with clients who are investing time and budget into computer systems that need to work for them. My job is to keep asking the client questions, until I can be sure that we, as the service provider know exactly what they want. The same principle applies if your selling an exhaust. The discrepancy between a type 49 shell and x-flow should have prompted another phone call from the seller to the customer to check out exactly what was required. As far as putting something right, post delivery, the phone is obviously the the first place you go. But my rule is have a notepad handy, and note all the details discussed. If you're getting nowhere, keep your cool, end the call and put it into writing, being courteous but firm in your demand to a proper resolution. You will eventually win out this way, but not by getting flustered on the phone. Ultimately, if a company is shifting unmpteen exhaust systems a week, and occasionally one sale doesn't go to plan, it makes good business sense to make sure your sales staff get on and replace it, because this kind of publicity ain't good publicity. Right my legs are aching, so I'm gonna get off this soapbox.
Toby Posted October 5, 2007 Report Posted October 5, 2007 Curl one out down the pipe first tho johnny Lol. Not sure whats more wrong. The fit of the exhaust, PL's customer service or the way your mind works!! Bad luck mate. I had bover with PL too probably about 10 years ago and got charged a "handling charge" by them to return my goods. Not used them since. Didn't think of crapping in the box though!
Posse Posted October 5, 2007 Report Posted October 5, 2007 lol they have been spot on for me i never used them
Kelvfoozinda Posted October 13, 2007 Report Posted October 13, 2007 Just had a load of ball ache with peter lloyd as they overcharged me for a set of lowering blocks. They whacked a few quid on top as the product was over 1Kg...without notifying me of anything. I was very pissed off with this so i'm taking it up with trading standards. They even say i knew the weight of the product when there is no mention of it anywhere on the website. Here's the email i send to trading standards if you're interested...i'll tell you how it comes out! Hi, I recently purchased some goods from an on-line supplier namely "Peter LLoyd Rallying". I did this over the internet site they have and paid for my goods to the sum of £26.50 on my card. Whilst checking through my bills i noticed they had charged me £29.95 instead of the invoiced and quoted £26.50. I asked for a refund and have been declined this as they say i chose a postage option that didn't cover the item. The postage i chose was the cheaper option covering items upto 1Kg so i assumed this would cover the item as i could choose the option...also there was no mention of any weight in the product information. This is a copy of the communications i have made with peter lloyd rallying since this overcharging. The invoice for the products clearly detailing they would charge me £26.50... Peter Lloyd Rallying Ltd ------------------------------------------------------ Order Number: 1496 Detailed Invoice: https://wilde.uknoc.co.uk/~plr/account_ ... er_id=1496 Date Ordered: Sunday 07 October, 2007 Could I have the 2.0" lowering blocks please. Cheers. Products ------------------------------------------------------ 1 x LOWERING BLOCK KIT (LBK) = £22.00 ------------------------------------------------------ Sub-Total: £22.00 Royal Mail (Royal Mail before 12 (up to 1Kg)): £4.50 Total: £26.50 Delivery Address ------------------------------------------------------ 904327509345 Billing Address ------------------------------------------------------ 34-98590238 Payment Method ------------------------------------------------------ Credit/Debit Card I then replied with this after i noticed the charge on my card, Sales, The total for my purchase including postage comes to £26.50 as shown below on the confirmation email you sent me...however you charged my card £29.95. I would be grateful if you could return the difference to my card as soon as possible. Thanks, Kelvin. Peter LLoyd replied with, the lowering block kits weighs 1.75 kilo and is over the i kilo post that is why you have been charged more sorry for any misunderstanding Then my reply again... Sales, Surely you should have notified me about this extra charge before going ahead and putting it on my card. I made sure there was enough cash to cover this payment and now have been stung with a £30 fine from the bank. I feel this is unfair to charge me the extra without even mentioning it to me. If i had known this i would have gone elsewhere with cheaper postage. I would like you to refund the amount to my account as the invoice you have sent me clearly states you would take £26.50 from my card, not the £29.95 you charged me without any notice. Thank you, Kelvin. This is the reply i was sent. I fail to see how i should know the product is over 1Kg as i had never been informed of this throughout the whole process, I also do not wish to pay to send the good back to them as this was clearly no fault of my own. They should surely of sent me an email explaining there would be a surcharge for the weight and asked if it was ok to go ahead. it states clearly £4,50 up to 1 kilo and that is 1.75 kilo we charge on the weight of the parcel why put in delivery of 1 kilo when you now it is heavier if you are not happy return the goods and we will refund your money back I then sent them a reply detailing i was going to take up this with yourselves and try to resolve the problem as they seem to put all the blame on me for something i really did not know. How am i supposed to know the weight of the good you are sending me? Surely this information should be on the website. I just want you to refund me the difference of what i was charged and what i was billed for, otherwise i will have to take this up with trading standards. They then said well you will have to take it up with the trading standards as we are not prepered too loose money for your own mistake So, where do i stand with this...i feel they have unfairly charged me this extra without informing me and i would like it back, i would return the product to them but i do not wish to incur extra costs that are not due to any fault of my own. I look forward to correspondance from you. Thanks, Kelvin.
Cookie Posted October 13, 2007 Report Posted October 13, 2007 Sound like cheecky buggers to me I have used them a few times as I'm in driving distance, and had no probs, although in fairness going in the shop and buying it has no comparison to haveing to deal with people miles away on a phone or enail. But saying you should know the weight of a parcel thats in their hands sounds a totally crazy thing to say to me They are slowly going down in my estimations tbh
Kelvfoozinda Posted October 13, 2007 Report Posted October 13, 2007 Also if this purchase went well i was going to have a cam kit and full exhaust off them....so they've lost out on another £300 quid just because they don't know how to deal with customers.
johnny_h Posted October 13, 2007 Author Report Posted October 13, 2007 Good luck with it mate. I am recovering bank charges from my insurance company who took money from my account unauthorised. They had no problem refunding the money. Have you tried ringing Peter Lloyd?
Kelvfoozinda Posted October 13, 2007 Report Posted October 13, 2007 Not even going to bother till trading standards get back to me. After reading the start of this post i shouldn't have bothered but i thought i'd give them a go and it bit me in the arse! Never again!
Admin Vista Posted October 13, 2007 Admin Report Posted October 13, 2007 This should be relatively easy to sort, the extra charge was in effect an unauthorised transaction on your card. Ring your card provider and inform them of this and instruct them to reclaim the payment.
