My opinion on POLISH migrants is that they should all bugger off back to Poland and let the ENGLISH people have the jobs that they are doing. They only come over here because they cannot get work in Poland.

 

I don't mind the ones that can speak English so much but we have four of them working where I work and they can't speak a word of FOOKING ENGLISH AND IT PISSES ME RIGHT OFF .... IF YOU'RE GONNA COME TO THIS COUNTRY THEN LEARN THE FOOKING LANGUAGE AND STOP CLAIMING FOOKING BENEFITS

Although I agree with everything you have said above.....why just the Poles????........or is it just the poles where you live and work??. IMO I would tar everyone of them the same, no matter where they come from, whatever colour they are or beliefs they have or dont have.

It's just the Poles that wind me up because we have a sudden influx down here at the moment ... everywhere you go - Tesco's on the tills this morning, last week in the chippy behind the till, sitting in the doctor's surgery .... however, it is more the type of person and not their ethnicity.

 

We have 4 working here, one of them tells us she is pregnant, claims for benefits and I find out that she is also claiming benefits from Poland as well for the baby .... with her tax credit form (which she asked me to help her fill in because she doesn't speak the lingo) she has put permanent place of residence as Poland even though she is claiming here

 

The Poles I have come across are not even prepared to learn the lingo ... they just look at you like they don't understand (probably because they don't) and expect US to sort things out for them.

 

I am not against immigrants who come here to work and take the time to integrate themselves into the community but those that can't be bothered should not be allowed across the borders IMO.

 

As for Christmas being cancelled - what a load of bollox - we celebrate Crimbo over here in a certain way and that is how it shall continue in my world ... when in Rome and all that

I suspect that it's all a bit of nonsense designed primarily to provoke debate and stir up controversy in order to sell a few more papers, we are talking the SUN after all. C'mon it's little more than a comic/gossip mag!

 

And as to immigrants, I understand all the ill feeling and resentment, especially in areas where there are so many of them congregating. But I can't find it in me to resent the Pole/Iraqi/Afgan who wants to come here for a chance of a better life for himself or his family. If the situation was reversed and earnings and standard of living were better there than here I suspect I'd be doing the same. I suspect the Jimbob is right and that most immigrants do not expect us to change our country to suit them (barring the islamic fundamentalists who are a case all on their own) it's our own left wing liberals that seem to think it's so necessary.

 

HOWEVER, I can find it in me to bitterly resent the government that has allowed the situation to develop as far as it has, immigration appears completely out of control and something needs to be done to get it back in check.

I think there should be some criterea(sp) for entry A-have the means to support themselves financially for at least 12 months and are given a 12 month visa with a review by a non pansy wansy pc person, or an mp vote hunting someone like an accountant who just looks at facts and figures without even having to meet the people, then there can be no dicrimination (that fookin word ) can there.

or B- entring already with a contract of employment or finincial sponsorship from a british citizen, and none of this 2 week here and there picking fruit a proper minimum 12 month employment contract other wise after 2 weeks of work surprise suprise they will be claiming a house and dole
