About a minute later I see this white car approaching, I aint that sure exactly what it was, it looked like the old Ford which was popluar for rallying, maybe an Escort, a damn old shape anyway. A couple of seconds later he comes past, no masive surge of acceleration (at about 65mph) but past nevertheless................

:) think he was a bit surprised

i think he was impressed by its performance and upset at the size of his cajones going into corners :lol:

thats funny as fook, love it when these modern car owners question the performance of their own cars when they get done by an oldie, i cant wait till my engine is rebuilt and i go out baiting some supercars, the looks you get are priceless :lol:

As posted elsewhere on this forum, "They just dont get it" Before I had my car set up I was up at the Weald trying it out, as you do, A Evo 6 with Rally Art stickers all over it was along side me in the queue, told me it had 15k worth of mods done to it, after leaving him for dead twice he was last seen with the bonnet up scratching his head, and never pulled up alongside me even when he had the chance to race me again. :D:D

After reading through the rest of the thread on their forum, it seems they need educating so why don't we go and hi-jack a few more forums and teach them the way of the old skool!! :lol:

sounds like a plan ..

i cant beleive that the guy who is driving a rally bred road car doesnt even know any history of rallying and failed to recognise an escort ?

if it wasnt for cars like the escort he wouldnt be driving an evo .

Quality :lol::lol: , Particuly like this quote;

"I'm quite disappointed that an Evo owner didn't know what a Mk2 Escort looked like - it's cars like the Escort that formed the groundworks for todays Evo's / Scoob's etc."
