Mr Sam Posted January 11, 2008 Report Posted January 11, 2008 http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/tees/7183017.stm poor guy, should be getting a medal not a load of stress ending up in him quitting a job he obviously put his all into
Rick Posted January 11, 2008 Report Posted January 11, 2008 just shows how really fooked up this country has become.... equality, health and safety, human rights.... bad times when people like him are treated like that when fuckwit celebs get knighthood for swearing on TV
MexDan Posted January 11, 2008 Report Posted January 11, 2008 poor guy, should be getting a medal not a load of stress ending up in him quitting a job he obviously put his all into Seconded People like him are the real heroes, to be punished for saving someone's life when, if he had followed the rules, she would have fallen is absolute the round ones. He knew what he was doing, but he made a choice, the right choice, to help someone... how the fook can you be punished for that????
beedz Posted January 11, 2008 Report Posted January 11, 2008 total load of crap - can't believe how bad these things are getting at the end of the day, he made a mental risk assessment, decided that the risk of climbing without the safety gear was less than the risk of leaving the girl to hang on long enough for the gear to be retrieved - and acted appropriately - end of. bunch of tw@ts for those of us who work in the safey field, this kind of crap makes a pretty dull job even worse!
Twinkle Posted January 11, 2008 Report Posted January 11, 2008 the guy is a hero and should be treated like one.

ZetecVan 2.0 Posted January 12, 2008 Report Posted January 12, 2008 Bloody busy bodies who sit behind a desk making decisions. I bet they've never been out in the fieldto see how it is at the sharp end.
Durham Fiesta Posted January 12, 2008 Report Posted January 12, 2008 what a King legend that bloke is
c20xe Posted January 12, 2008 Report Posted January 12, 2008 I'm surprised he didn't get a £60 on the spot fine as well!!!!
mk1super Posted January 13, 2008 Report Posted January 13, 2008 As ive said before in previous threads this country is going down the shitter. Shocking way to treat a hero.
escamino Posted January 13, 2008 Report Posted January 13, 2008 Poksy PC prats. Should push the lot of them off a cliff, see how they like it.
beedz Posted January 14, 2008 Report Posted January 14, 2008 how would they have reacted if it was their child on the cliff
john_3.0s Posted January 15, 2008 Report Posted January 15, 2008 this kind of thing makes my blood boil, H&S was introduced to stop ppl working in heavy industry DIEING from industrial accidents and long term illness as a result of working conditions, it was not intended to be applied to my PC screen and chair in my office (yes seriously i have to fill in an H&S form to use a chair at work) and it certainly wasnt intended to be applied to situations like this. That brave hero made his own decisions, he wasnt instructed to do that by anyone. If he'd have been killed i wonder what the papers would be saying?? Good on him, top bloke The MCA and other emergency services would be lost with out ppl like that.
surfingturnip Posted January 15, 2008 Report Posted January 15, 2008 its just moronic. People who have given so much to help others like that man deserve to be treated with respect and admiration, not put down and forced to quit their jobs
