My missus is a petrol head too, for her its bikes ( How we met) ( Though she is showing an intrest in a mk2 escort or mk3 capri none in mk1 escorts though ) but it makes for a very very understanding women, so much so, that she says if anything has to be sold her car is first! Then the bikes as there easier to replace.

 

BUT under no circumstances does the escort get sold, as she would rather be skint and car-less, than put up with me grumpy as sin as my escorts gone

 

She thinks the way to go is try meet someone like minded who shares your love of the petrol driven engine, that way, its me or it never comes up, but she also thinks if a person loves you as they claim to they would accept your hobby/mental health problem and would never ask you to make such a choice

I 'almost', or pretty much had this ultimatum. I was spending ALL my cash on my car and then when i needed it least.......my engine blew.......

 

Luckily Mr . Wigger came to the rescue and sorted me out with a deal.

 

Anyway, you do have to live in the real world (which to be honest, most women do!!) and you do need to plan for the future etc and if your spunking all your cash into your hobbey, then really it is understanable?

 

Saying all that.... i'm still saving for an all steel,230BHP N/A cossie!! I just wont tell her how much it costs!!!!!

If my missus told me to choose, she would take away my hobby, and try to make me in to someone that I aint. I would probably end up banging my head into the wall after a couple of months, and she would leave me anyway. If I told her to sell her horse, it would be the same way around.

I was given that ultimatum when i passed my bike test my wife said if i bring a bike home i would need to find somewhere else to live

But when i got it out of the van nothing was said

I had several mark2 s when i was courting my wife to be and i have allways tinkered with them so she should of known what she was getting into before i married her

Having said that i am sure she secretly hates the car and the bike and only tonight she suggested that i turn the garage into my office

I then suggested that i turn the kitchen into my garage and she walked off
