Many of the Russian Oligarchs don't actually have many of their billions left! Indeed those that are still considered Billionaires are largely only still billionaires in terms of the value of their assets, i.e. property rich but very cash strapped. What's more Putin is snapping at their heels looking to reclaim state assets that they bought cheaply in the early 90's.

Having to drive a LDV occasionally albeit an ageing example, i fail to see to see how they ever sold any in the first place. When i found out they were owned by the Ruskies, it explained everything. Its like a Lada of the van world....

Couldnt have put it better meself  I make a point of being first into work every morning so i get the keys to the transit crew cab as its sooo much better than the 3 LDVs and the Ranger and the Landie.

why save ldv there shit let them go bust

totally agree, if there was a demand for LDV vans they wouldnt be in trouble. If the government bail them out, they'll keep the factory going, and end up with a huge carpark full of hundreds/thousands of vans that no one wants to buy.

My mate runs a fleet of them not the most up to date vans but they are reliable and keep going while his peugeot boxers keep smashing gearboxes and drive shafts, Iveco dailys keep blowing engine front and rear oil seals.

As a taxpayer and an owner of 3 LDV vans (why the feck we bought the second two I don't know) I vote they don't get saved.

They are crap!!

You tried starting em when its freezing cold  Fook me dont be in a rush cos they take forever! The Transit first crank and it starts no issues, not like the ldv with all the dash lights comming on  , why cos ford give Ldv all the friday afternoon engines!
