Believe me when i say this,:there was a time when i'd jump for joy and start bashin the bishop! sorry (did i rearly say that?) and want to get over there and get my hands on it.No not of the corsair but of the

orange bug with the blue bonnet in the 3rd pic.Owned and restored a lot of them .

I tell you why i mention the above. When i used to go and see my now missus when she lived in Bolton .I always used to call in to a massive scrap yard some where there ,as they had a good few beetles and i was always scrounging for parts for mine .There was a mint as new metalic blue? 2000e corsiar alway parked outside and i never batted an eyelid at it only noticing that it was mint. Now a very highly prized car i would imagine and surely worth a lot more than a mint similally aged beetle. The same scrap yard also had an escort camper van and mk1 transits and capris and probbably a lot more than what i can remember.

Sadly all was when i was away from ford cars. And a long time have passed since.

But now i have come back round to the real world and i would love that "Special" Corsiar Estate.

I love it,looks pritty good too,at the end of the day if all the conversion panels are good then that is surley an added bonus.

Get it bought and get it soughted, there can not be many of them left for obvious reasons, just don't tell the seller. ,unless hes clued up on the thing.

I always say when your trying to do a deal don't look too interested, talk about other cars he's got and he'll take the bait, hopefully.

Super cool parts hauler.

Know what you mean, 10 years ago scrapyards were crawling with 2 door Mk1s & Mk2s, Anglias, Mk1 Transits, Cortinas, Capris the lot!

There was even a 1300E in the yard one time I went in there when I was 15!

Back in the 80s the same scrapyard had a genuine RS1800 in which a mate of mine spotted (He's into Escorts in a very big way), went back to the yard a day or 2 later & by the time he returned it was just a completely bare shell!!

Word had got out that it was in there & it was a race by other Escort owners at the time & between them they completely stripped the car!

You don't even see Capris in scrapyards these days! It's all Euro shitboxes!
