Sheepy Posted January 31, 2010 Report Posted January 31, 2010 the good old days of modifying cars! the funny thing is, you can just imagine the guy finishing it, standing back and being so proud of the creation! "wow, look at my car love" can you remember the magazine, "chrome and flames" used to get it many moons ago, not sure if its still on the go! they sometimes had some nice cars, but also the odd naff one!

retrorigg Posted February 1, 2010 Report Posted February 1, 2010 dear oh dear oh dear, noooo , what were they thinking
you'll get 10s on that Posted February 1, 2010 Report Posted February 1, 2010 The MkV Cortina (XPL3IT)was built by Prism Motorsport and bidywise was a bit questionable...using wood for some of the panelwork Bit mechinically it was great . His later (and current ride I think) is a twin turboed V8 TVR powered E30 BMW and that is a fantastic tool....Clive Anderson is the guy's name if I remeMber correct....check out their website to see more http://www.prismmotorsport.com/ ... we all start somewhere
Andrade Posted February 1, 2010 Report Posted February 1, 2010 looks like one of those children coin cars that stay going up and down with silly noises.
stuartp Posted February 1, 2010 Report Posted February 1, 2010 real 80's sarfff london look from one of the originals. er what on earth is wrong with that? - looks perfect to me
mk14dr Posted February 1, 2010 Report Posted February 1, 2010 I think its more a case of 'whatever spins your turbo' - 'horses for courses' etc etc. The only ones that bother me are the ones 'built' (using the term in the loosest possible fashion) but are dangerous/unsafe. I love 70's custom stuff, jackup kits and porthole windows et al, and that prismmotorsport cortina is legendary stuff
azz-bo Posted February 1, 2010 Report Posted February 1, 2010 Ive got 1 of them spoilers on my mk1 I didn't put it on there!!!
l j shaw Posted February 1, 2010 Report Posted February 1, 2010 I hope its the one on the rear glass, please say its not the one on the boot
azz-bo Posted February 2, 2010 Report Posted February 2, 2010 I hope its the one on the rear glass, please say its not the one on the boot Its the 1 on the boot I didnt put it there!
mk3tina Posted February 2, 2010 Report Posted February 2, 2010 you selling that spoiler? think i might like one for my cortina.
Trevmk3 Posted February 2, 2010 Report Posted February 2, 2010 I love 70's custom stuff, jackup kits and porthole windows et al, and that prismmotorsport cortina is legendary stuff some of it looks alrite, some little touches i would remove
FredTransit Posted February 2, 2010 Report Posted February 2, 2010 Paging Mr Bortaf! He knows a fair bit about this shed er concoction.

Skimmer Posted February 3, 2010 Report Posted February 3, 2010 To use a term all these are od skool (early) custom cars........my first car was a jacked up mk1 escort ......i was only 16 ....
