Personally,I couldnt care less. It really doesnt make much odds to me if someone wants to walk around in a burkha or a mankini.

That said, they are a bit of an unusual sight around here. Perhaps if it was more common then I might feel differently??

I do appreciate (although didnt realise until recently) that they arent a requirement of their religion.

One question though........why do the people who find them intimidating feel that way?

There are millions round here and i dont trust any tbh

Round here there people with pakistan flags on cars saying paki's rule on it

They beat people up if they go down "there street"

I know there not all the same but when people act like that people dont who to trust and for that reason they should be banned

It raciscm against us when like darran says cant go into a petrol station with a helmet on but they can

cant you invite a few of us up to you then so we can visit there streets. ban them all.[ keep britain tidy]

Ban them,I already think England has given in on far to many things and should stand up and follow the likes of Australia, its our country and we should set the rules....not be told what to do!

Makes me laugh when they say its thier traditional dress but when yopu look in the picture she has a mobile phone in her hand. Looks to me as though they want the best of both worlds. Why is the government going to grow some balls and ban them, surely they know what the nation is thinking.

Just as a footnote i heard that they are made to wear them by thier men, so there must be some law regarding being forced to wear them agaist thier will. BAN THEM AND MAKE THEM LIVE BY OUR LAWS or piss off[/b]

It's the traditional dress bit that gets me too. It's in no way an obligation for the Muslim religion, or specific to one Muslim country (n fact many Muslim countries don't have a 'full coverage' traditional dress). So why is it, when it's mentioned the Burkah will be banned, it's the Muslims that say they are being penalised, and it's racism?

As for being forced, I think it's more of a cultural obligation, women feel they must comply to tradition. WELL IT'S NOT OUR TRADITION! Also, many Muslim women go on record as saying they take to the veil as their choice. Sorry but the only way I would choose to fully cover my face is if I was going to do over a sub Post Office. Oh hang on.......

Let me think.........

I don't have an issue with a veil, however when I see images like the above I cant help to associate it with those out there who want to kill us!

Therefore would I trust someone wearing one? NO!

Ban them I think there more like a gang symbol rather than a religious thing

im just waiting to hear about the mass muslim protests in london that are dictating to us how we should have our country !!

im not going to get to involved as i always get fired down and called racist but tough titty's if you dont my veiws .....

our country is our country and once we had a proud nation , our goverment has taken that nation apart and produced a multi cultural society that cannot work unless they lay the rules down and everyone lives and follows the same rules and law that we have done for many years ,

if people who move here are not willing to live the way our nation lives then dont move here !

i dont wish to visit such places as saudi as i wouldnt want my wife covering herself up because its there law or beleif .... so if its not our culture or beleif to practice sharia law or follow dress codes then they should adhere to that if they dont then get shipped back to the war torn shanty towns they come from .

fookin fookers, come over here & live off the good working class people like most on here then have the nerve to demonstrate, sponge, insult, polute, put a drain on our society, complain, look fookin stupid, then they can fook off. No time for any of them & if we all had real the round ones instead of just moaning about it (what we brits do best) then we should not take so much laying down & be so soft all the time. But truth be known it ain't going to get any better & they all know how to play the system. So in a nutshell posse yes they should be banned :evil::evil:

Fook the dish towels wrapped round there face ban the forinars and take home the troops to gaurd the country and keep them out.

let them blow themselves up in there own country and problem solved.

Tis true though.... we will be a Muslim nation in the next 20-30 years due to the high rate of immigrants and the high birth rates that they are popping out.

If nothing is done, we will be the minority. :(

but to be honest this country has bigger probs than muslim dress the attitudes of the chav shit heads who think the working likes of me should keep them in benifits i hate the bastards

Bang on mate

what u on about ? the imagrants are more of a drain on this countrys benifits and housing system

Oh come on, look at it logically. Lazy people that were born here far outnumber people that emigrate here, and not all of the migrants sponge off the dole. There are thousands of people out there that come to this country to work, and work they do.

Posted

to all of the people on here who band every unemployed person as a sponging chav twat then take into account that I am out of work and have been for 18 months now. IM NOT A King SPONGER AND TAKE OFFENCE WHEN YOU LOT GO ON ABOUT DOLE DOSSING BASTARDS, i cant help it if there is nothing in my area that will suit my skills and the field that i have experience in is really slow at the moment. i admit that the majority of people claiming benefits are scroungers but not all of us!

oh and send the buggers back

No, I am not saying everybody on the dole is a scrounger, but you have to admit there are those who look on it like a career.

My own Dad spent much of my childhood on the dole, he was disabled (after a childhood accident) and on being made redundant never worked again. There were no laws at the time to say large companies had to have a proportion of disabled workers, so he was never considered. He was not a scrounger, but if it wasn't for benefits we would have been homeless and hungry, end of.

Yet he instilled in me the idea claiming was bad, to the point of my never having had a penny off the state.

Don't get me wrong, I am not getting at you. Just trying to point out I do understand not all claimants are scroungers.

i must admit that i know a few people that take great offence when there dole money doesnt go into thier bank account on the day it is meant to and they kick off like its thier god given right to have £45 a week given to them to spend on drugs and beer, they're scum!

if it were my choice i wouldnt claim benefits but at the end of the day i need a roof over my family's head and food in our belly's. i just wish that the people that have never been unfortunate enough to loose a stable job would take a moment to imagine what it would be like if they were to be made redundant or went off ill (i left my last job after being signed off by the doctor with suspected testicular cancer and the agegncy i was working for sent my p45 through the post as they are not obliged to pay sickness pay), claiming benefits for me is shit but its either that or be on the streets :thumbsup:

its nothing personal fred

does everyone who has posted in this thread read the daily mail by any chance?

lol it is a little (ok lot) right wing isn't it?

No, I don't as a rule read the Daily Mail and I don't share the opinion that all immigrants are a burden on our welfare budget. Many of them work very hard.

My opinion is solely that that get up looks completely out of place in our society and as others have said, the reasons for wearing a disguise is commonly to hide your identity. In these days of Islamic fundamentalism, why allow them to stick a bag over their heads with impunity?

Posted

without a doubt they should be banned. i have been asked to remove a baseball cap in a shop before as the cameras cannot see your face for security, would the same be asked of someone wearing a burkha???

i think not!!!

get rid of them they are intimidating.
