Davewrc Posted September 7, 2010 Report Posted September 7, 2010 The Tits is all I can say, cars like this make me want bubble arches

The axle is a 52" atlas and the offset of the wheels is ET 11. Hope it helps
sambo Posted September 7, 2010 Author Report Posted September 7, 2010 Lol, i wanted some powerfull brakes though so i thought i'd use 15's. I'm glad i did though as i am well chuffed with how they look! If i was to go to 13's i would of had to have shortened the axle as it would only look right with 9's or 10's on it. These are bang on and i'm well chuffed! I just need a spare set for slicks for track days etc.
MEXY867M Posted September 7, 2010 Report Posted September 7, 2010 15" I still think was the best choose SAMBO for these arches looks wicked mate
ratman Posted September 9, 2010 Report Posted September 9, 2010 Never been a fan of minilight type wheels but gotta say that looks
Col-ashtonmobile Posted September 9, 2010 Report Posted September 9, 2010 that looks so right , well done mate you got it spot on
w p e Posted September 9, 2010 Report Posted September 9, 2010 but what about the handling? the escorts roll centre was designed around 13" wheels thats why they got rid of 12" and used 13" on all the orignal top rally escorts. rolling on 13s is the way forward . even sam
SebringRS Posted September 9, 2010 Report Posted September 9, 2010 That looks effin' awesome Cant wait to see that in the flesh
sambo Posted September 10, 2010 Author Report Posted September 10, 2010 but what about the handling? the escorts roll centre was designed around 13" wheels thats why they got rid of 12" and used 13" on all the orignal top rally escorts. rolling on 13s is the way forward . even sam I know what your saying Wayne, but there are some really well handling escorts out there on 15's. 15's should be ok, its the 16's that were on it before that would give probs. The low profile tyres are the same rolling radius as 13's on baloon tyres anyway. Besides, back in the day, 15" wheels weren't available! If they were im sure Ford would have used them to fit bigger brakes????
zetecmk2 Posted September 10, 2010 Report Posted September 10, 2010 that looks great but, there again, i thought it looked great before, i think i just like your car!
EscortHeadCase Posted September 10, 2010 Report Posted September 10, 2010 that 4-1 exhaust manifold looks mad. Awesome car.
