As the nights draw in and winter is fast approaching, many people will be looking towards plans for their OSF over the winter and getting those niggly jobs sorted .... so ... do you have any winter projects that you would care to share? :D:thumbsup:

Engine Out, engine bay glossy black or match body colour, if funds are there get my spare 205 bored to a 2.1 with some nice pistons etc, back seats out fire wall in and sprayed, dash out spray part of it orange and put back. roll cage, rebuild hubs, new discs and pads. Then full nut and bolt ready for next year. :D:ykt:

The T5 in the van needs a look over / refresh as i lost 3rd gear a while ago and its abit of a pain to go through the box :wink: and now it needs the diff sorting as having issues with the LSD that ive fitted :x

Then another project to get done for next year is me lads MK1 Escort estate thats not far off paint after replacing all the rot and get it off the roll over / spit its now on though its all stone chipped now and awaiting paint :thumbsup: so my winter is already sorted i think :D , i love it in the garage :mrgreen: ......then theres me lado's 100e that needs abit of fettling now n then :thumbsup: .........

Well you'll all be glad to hear that ive bought another motor and

yes, its a Ford.

In fact its another Mk2, a Mk2 Consul...i just love 'em!!

 

The Plan:

Mk2 Consul fit it with MK3 Zephyr Straight 6 and 4 speed MK3 Column change...

 

Do some engine work, maybe look to heighten the capacity within tolerances, give the head a thorough port and polish, 6 branch manifold...

...and 6 bike carbs (why not??)

 

Again the whole motor will be lowered within an inch of its life, with a custom crossmember bought last year, uprated front suspension (i'll give Gaz a shout) and the rear will be decambered, shox installed with panhard rod.

 

Should keep me busy!! :lol:

Building a Disk Brake conversation for my Taunus Transit.

 

Finish the 3,4 l Essex Engine swap on my mate's MK1 Granada

 

Fit the 3,54 english axle to my wife's MK1 Escort...

 

 

...maybe the winter is not long enough...... :roll:

jobs to do over the winter....hmmmm oh yes......

1 / gear box out again to replace the rear crank sill , hate this job sodding gearbox weighs more than me :(

2 / front legs off to replace the inserts..there just to hard, i look like a nodding dog from behind :D:D

3 / still not happy with the alternator....just does'nt seem to charge when i'am out at night :(

4/ try and finish my heater....

5 / i'am sure there's something else but i can't remember what it is :?

 

but how boring it would be if every thing worked ok... :lol::lol:

Stripped out by end of november :thumbsup:

 

Off to m8s place for Resto straight after, back in about 2 years :lol::mrgreen:

 

 

 

Dads V8 one, engine out, freshen up i think, and rope seal machined, so we can put a proper seal on it, so no more oily problems and ready for longer journeys next year :mrgreen:

sort out the sill and inner sill and bottom of wing on drivers side of my corsair, then prep it all for paint, should be painted by end of october, then new set of wide steels to go on it, general service goood old clean, and use it through winter maybe? might just sell it i dont like it :(:thumbsup:

 

oh and wrap my mk1 cortina up for the winter, no work to that :dope:

Rebuild mine once it comes back from the paint shop. Finish re-building the 1600 Crossflow to go into my Dads white one coz a 1300 auto is NO FUN !!! Oh & drive them as much as poss. :thumbsup:
