Moderator Rally Pack 2000 Posted July 16, 2019 Moderator Report Posted July 16, 2019 Sometimes its goes right though. From Australia, who thought an Austin 1800 would look so good? 1
colr6 Posted July 16, 2019 Report Posted July 16, 2019 That looks quite nice I must admit, think I’d have left the Austin badges off it though.

Moderator Rally Pack 2000 Posted July 23, 2019 Moderator Report Posted July 23, 2019 What Volkswagons are these? I have never seen one before in real life but everyone seems to like slamming them.

Rich T Posted July 23, 2019 Report Posted July 23, 2019 Yep, i stand corrected. I forgot about the Brazillia

Definitely never heard of them but they certainly have a distinctive look When I tried to read the information with the images it was in Spanish or something and did see Brazil alot I just assumed it was a VW enthusiast site in Brazil! They definitely love lowering them though.
meXEco Posted July 23, 2019 Report Posted July 23, 2019 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Volkswagen_Brasília Type 3 & 4 are different beasts altogether-Type 3's are known as 'Squarebacks' 'Notchbacks' and 'Fastbacks' for estate, saloon and coupes versions respectively. Type 4's are the bigger versions in 411 and 412 types.

Looks to be an entirely stand alone model based on a number of other cars according to this https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Volkswagen_Brasília

Its not often I stumble across a model I haven't heard of before. Made in Brazil only so that explains the name and why I haven't seen one. I kinda like it, its really quirky. They are ugly as standard but once done up it really transforms them. It was funny that wherever I was trying to look up Cortina Estate images these kept popping up. But some of them still look silly
HotRodMatt Posted July 23, 2019 Report Posted July 23, 2019 So there I am, just casually flicking through the gallery on my phone, and lo and behold, all this weird stuff is lying there. Apologies to your eyes/stomachs for any reposts. 1
